Hotel caters almost exclisively to groups which means there is a lot of traffic in the hotel. Also, my opinion is that the owners are sqeezing the last penny out of the building running it on very low mantainance costs. Nothing that is not critical looks to be in a state of decay and ignored and even the cleaning ladies don't even use a vacum cleaner in the rooms becase they don't have access to one(it's brooms only). This makes cleanliness to be desired sometimes. Restaurant dinner food is bad. Breakfast is decent but restaurant food is bad.Even the atmosphere feels stuck in the 90s. I would not eat there unless everything else in the city was closed, this is Itally after all

Excelent area. Very quiet but well connected. Reception staff were most welcoming and promptly solved all our requests. Room requests durring booking were fulfilled which was greatly appreciated. Breakfast was OK, noting special, but with a few nice surprises. Like mini Philadelpia packets :)

Everything was brilliant in this hotel only fault I would have is the toilet in our room kept getting stuck but that’s only a little thing other then this we had absolutely no faults

The heating air conditioner did not work. The room was dark, without windows, except for the exit to the terrace.Breakfast nothing special. The breakfast for a 4-star hotel could have been better.

Comfortable and wide bed. The hotel is quite old, but in the center, which is good. Large terrace. Parking was good, garage under the hotel.

The Hottube was not working, or hot. The scheduling of transport was completely unacceptable. Driver was 15 late. Cost for car service was not clearly articulated wrt the difference regarding payment Cash vice card. Y is car service more expensive them cab service.

We requested an iron and ironing board which did not turn up. The next morning when we asked for it again it was very early and we were headed out for the day. We were asked to be quiet when we spoke to reception as people were sleeping. two points here firstly if it had been delivered when asked we would not have needed to ask again and secondly if the sleeping guest could hear us from reception the doors and walls must be very thin !!

Pool was closed, only open for a limited season (summer months) but this wasn’t stated on the amenities listing. We got conflicting costs on airport taxi compared to our friends who stayed the same weekend. Same airport and very similar departure times. Room service only operates during restaurant hours. You have to leave the hotel if you are hungry outside of these times.

Room was quite dirty. Needs some repairs and maintenance. Hotel looks about 10-20 years newer in the pictures. Parking garage under the hotel slope is too steep, so "low" cars will scrape their front bumper when entering the garage.

We could hear everything that next room was talking, walls are really thin, we hear each word. Terraces was connected to each other, no gate to protect from next, so you can’t leave open window, air conditioner wasn’t working.

Breakfasts was good, as usually egg, sausage, pastries, fruits….. Staff was nice and friendly.

Slamming doors all night by other guests. AC did not cool the room down (heat from radiator was too much) so had to open windows. Gate to entrance of hotel was closed at 8am so taxi could not come in to pick us up.

Location was great, breakfast was fantastic, hotel is old and needs some maintenance, can’t believe it’s a 4 star.

* Facilities > Room The hotel looked tired, it needed some renovation and deep cleaning. For instance, the room bath had black mould and some dust/fluff near the door to the balcony. The bathtub had a non-slippery mat which looked dirty (black stains). The drain was locked so we actually had to get the hotel to sort it out late-ish at night. They did, however, resolve the problem promptly (kudos to them). We did not manage to use the aircon because the control panel did not seem to work. We tried all possible buttons but nothing changed the room temperature. Another annoying thing was that we were allocated a room with a connecting door (to the adjacent bedroom). Although it was locked, you could hear more clearly what people are doing next door - whether it is shagging, crying, etc. > Restaurant The ceiling had some water marks as if it had had some water infiltration in the past and some spotlights were not working. * Breakfast Although the breakfast was good, it is advisable to be the first ones to go to the restaurant as otherwise you may not find some items (e.g. bacon, eggs..). The replenishment was not as quick as one would have hoped. I have stayed in 3 * hotels that were cleaner and did not have mould. I´m not sure how the star rating system works but, in my view, the hotel is not a 4 * - especially taking into account the price point.

* Staff The lady receptionist was very helpful and friendly. * Location The hotel was conveniently located - close to the Vatican City and the most famous tourist attractions. * Parking There was plenty of parking - covered in the garage or just in front of the main entrance so no issues at all. * Bedroom The bedroom had a little balcony so it was good to have some fresh air. The bed was very comfortable. * Breakfast The breakfast was very good: tasty and with a wide selection of things for you to choose from. * Pool Because the stay was during the winter time, it was not possible to use the swimming pool. But, it looked nice.
