Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LatviaThank You, everything was very good.
Extremely good location, if you want to be in a quiet area of the city. Hotel is located on the side of the city, away from the tourist routes and popular sightseeing objects. In the same time, 10 - 15 min. walk, and you are in the top places. Very friendly staff. Despite the building is old, from around 13th century, premises are in good condition and clean. Nice breakfast.

United StatesEverything I want in a B&B! Great breakfast spread, host was very helpful, building and decor looked historic and functional, air conditioning worked well enough during 90 F degree weather, pillows are comfortable, and the bathroom is spacious and up to date. Location is nice and quiet, but a short walk or traghetto away to major sites! Be ready to walk from the water bus stop about 7-10 minutes, which can seem longer depending on how much your luggage is and how how the weather is!

United KingdomIt’s want a problem for us, but I saw people mention the steps, they are old and step, but only two flights, I personally loved the traditional quirkiness of the stairs, which showed the age of the building.
Everything! VERY VERY CLEAN Traditional interior, breakfast was just what you needed and coffee was perfect! Location is away from the busy tourist traps. Easy reach to the €2 ride across the camel which take you to all the attractions. We enjoyed walking along the canal which was less busy, and then crossing the main bridge over. You definitely need your walking shoes, and travelling light is key (wheeled cases are a pain) staff were friendly, lots of good restaurants recommended that we tried and loved! Beds were comfy, room was perfect for a base. If you want to really feel in a traditional Venice home this is it! SUPPORT LOCAL! Loved the personal touch of our name on the door. (Room three was our room)

Located in a quiet area of Venice yet a quick hop over the Grand Canal on a Traghetto to reach all the main tourist attractions. The room was clean and well equipped. Lots of choice for breakfast. The host provided us with lots of information and tips with regards to restaurants and trips. We had to leave early to catch our flight so she provided us with a breakfast bag to take with us to the airport. Very thoughtful.

IrelandSo for the older person, there is two flights of stairs, fine for us, but beaware. Check out time is 10.30, but there is bag storage facility too. Tv had only two channels, all in Italian, just pointing it out in case you have children with you.
Absolutely beautufil tradition accommodation. Exceptionally clean, with very helpful owner/management to give great ideas and tips. The bathroom was very modern with huge shower, toilet, bidet and sink. The main bedroom with tea/coffee facilities, tv and very comfortable bed with plenty if storage too. The area is very quite, but also very close to restaurants and bars as well as the very beautiful canals. The continental breakfast is amazing, full of fresh produce every morning.

ItalyEverything was great!
Wonderful b&b in a very quiet and characteristic of Venice, refreshingly empty of tourists; the building overlooks a long square open onto the sea on one side and with trees in the middle—a rarity in Venice. It’s a historic traditional home that has been recently renovated with all comforts while retaining the historic aspects. Very comfortable room with good air conditioning, clean bathroom with very nice shower, great breakfast with fresh croissants and bread even on a Sunday. Very responsive and responsible owner, who gave us great recommendation for an excellent restaurant for dinner. Only caveat—there are old stairs to reach the rooms, so if that’s not for you, choose something else rather than being disappointed. But if that’s not a consideration, it’s an excellent place to stay! We will be back.

GermanyAlessandro and his team were so accommodating and took the time out of his busy day to give us the history of his family's beautiful home and the surrounding neighborhood. The room we stayed in used to be his grandpa's study and was very charming. The breakfast was awesome too. The area was very off the beaten path and quiet, but it is also just a short shared gondola ride to St. Mark's square. We would highly recommend this bed and breakfast!

Great B&B on side street next to the Canal. The Owner Veronica was most obliging and helped in many matters. We had a lovely room with a very good continental breakfast. Can highly Recommend. Just behind the B&B is a church where one can pick up a Gondola to cross the Grand Canal to Marco Polo Square for only €2.

United KingdomAir Conditioning didn't seem to work very well so the room got very hot during the night.
What a beautiful place to stay. The B&B is traditional and to a high standard. The room was comfortable, the continental breakfast was lovely, the location is perfect, on a quiet street just outside the busy city but not far away from anything. The host was so helpful with advice on local transport, how to get to places, restaurants to visit and very thoughtful in going out of her way to get us gluten free products for breakfast, which was much appreciated!

IrelandRoom was clean and the bathroom was very modern. The continental breakfast had a wide range of foods to choose from and was beautifully displayed each morning. The staff were welcoming, friendly and trustworthy. The owners told us many tips and insights on Venice, from which museums to visit to which gondolas and water buses to take. The location was ideal, with the water bus and cheap gondolas outside our door that could take us to the town centre within minutes. Would 100% stay here again.

United KingdomThe stairs! (without assistance on arrival)
Great location, really close to the Peggy Guggenheim museum, and also to several boat options. You can go to SALUTE and take the No 1 Vaporetto straight across to St Marco for the Doge’s palace, etc, or…spend 2 euros per person for a gondola trip across further along opposite the Basilica. Or, go down towards Zattere for the 5.2 Vaporetto to the station (FERROVIA) We stayed in the suite….please note…get assistance with baggage if you can because there are 3 delightful, but tricky, flights of stairs to navigate! Very good continental breakfast, with GF on request.
