The buffet breakfast was not self-service. Every day was the same, without the slightest variation, the complete absence of fresh vegetables was surprising.

The hotel has a private rooftop pool with beautiful views of the sea and the nearby mountains. The location is a great starting point for exploring the sights (Pisa, Lucca, Florence) and natural beauty (marble quarries in Carrara, Apuan Alps, etc.)

For breackfast you had to ask a staff member to pass you bread, milk, croissant or cereal........... it felt like they wanted to limit the amount you took. Nothing was refused but it would have been easier and nicer to be able to select what you wanted yourself.

The bedrooms were well decorated and well fitted out, spacious bathroom and shower and a good size balcony. Reception area was good and the pool on the roof was good for a plunge. Reception staff very helpful.

No towels for the pool. Also we were told we were not allowed to eat or drink wine in our room. Which is odd for a room we paid for. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels in my life and that was a first for me.

After we booked one room directly contacting them and were told they were sold out the day before, I found a free room for that day on Booking so I booked it. I immediately informed them that we were the same people for both rooms and were told it wasn’t a problem. When we got at the hotel the staff, especially the hotel owner, told us that we had made a mess and that we shouldn’t have booked an extra night through booking. (Probably because they told us it was sold out. On top of that the night on Booming was 40€ cheaper than the second night we had booked directly from them). We definitely won’t be returning here, mainly because of the very rude staff.

ROOM: Good, but the sanitary unit is cleaned with unknown cleaning agents. when you enter the room after cleaning - it is impossible to stay for several hours without opening the window. However, if your room faces the street, it will be difficult to rest because of the noise coming from the street. BREAKFAST: We were very surprised when it was forbidden to take any food by ourselves during breakfast! There is a dedicated waiter who puts what you ask for on your plate, but there is only 2 hours for breakfast, so there is a long queue! It seems that people still live here according to the rules of COVID-19 :D PERSONNEL: A VERY UNPLEASANT thing happened when we wanted to pay for the hotel in the evening, because we had a very early flight in the morning. We were almost sent to hell because it was already too late and only the watchman was left on duty for the night. The administrator obviously came to take the money, but I won't repeat all the rude words she said.

We really liked the place. Really close to a wonderful and clean beach where you can relax.

Staff in the hotel is really rude and not helpful at all. Specifically talking about manager on the reception. The room had 3 chairs despite it was room for 4 persons, we asked for one more chair and were yelled on that its not possible cause the room comes with only 3. Additionally, we got yelled on again because we cancelled reservation of beach chairs (which are overpriced when you are booking with hotel, you can get it way cheaper directly on the beach). The breakfast is kind of buffet where you need to ask for every piece of food which we were not informed about and its not really buffet. We were pretty annoyed to go to ask every time we wanted something additional. Overall, really unprofessional manager. All the seasonal staff was all right, pretty nice.

Spotlessly clean hotel, our room was cleaned every day. We had a huge terrace, which we weren't expecting but was a bonus! All the staff were really friendly, helpful and polite and really exceeded our expectations. For example we were rushing to check out a little late and they insisted we have breakfast even though we were late, and the night receptionist kindly filled my hot water bottle which I use for chronic pain. The hotel itself is in a lovely area, it has an infinity pool on the roof which we would love to come back and check out when the weather is nice again. Breakfast is abundant and the team really look after their guests. There's lots of choice for sweet or savoury and you can eat as much as you like. We love the area, we've also stayed at a more expensive 4* hotel down the road and in many ways Hotel Bracciotti is so much better. They offer excellent value for money, we had a wonderful, relaxing weekend and would happily recommend this hotel to others.
