Nothing that we didn't like. It was a pleasant walk to San Gimignano. A car is necessary if you want to visit the regions wineries.

Our stay was restful, peaceful and the scenery was breathtaking. Il Borghetto is a very special place to holiday. The owners were so helpful, and couldn't do more to help make our stay more comfortable. Dining in the restaurant was exciting, not knowing what was going to be presented, and the food was always fresh, local and exceptional and served in a gorgeous space surrounded by regional wines of many ages.

Everything. Firstly, the owners are wonderful and we felt so welcome. We had a self contained apartment which was beautiful and were able to prepare our own meals if needed. During our stay we were also able to have breakfast under the pergola with amazing views of vineyards and neighbouring farms & lucky enough to dine with the hosts on 2 nights, with other guests, once outside again under the pergola and another in their very old cellar. Oh! and there is the pool and surrounding garden area to relax which was frequented daily.

The older A/C could not keep up with the extreme outside temperatures of around 40° C and did not keep the apartment cool, but we don’t blame the personal for this.

The accomodation was clean, spacious and well equiped. The personal was very nice and helpful. Amazing dinner on the terrace with the view of the surrounding vineyards consisting of 4 delicious courses made from local ingredients accompanied by great wine, which the personal kindly helps to select.

Nothing to fault.

Everything. You couldn't hope to stay in a dreamier place that provides some of the best views of the Tuscan hills, warm hospitality from the owners, wonderful food at the restaurant and a lovely pool which is large enough to swim and do lengths. No plunge pool masquerading as swimming! It felt like I was visiting friends and immediately felt at home. Returned to England feeling totally zen.

I would have loved if a small breakfast was included as there is barley anywhere to eat breakfast in the town.

Charming villa set in the beautiful Tuscan landscape run by amazing hosts! Exceptionally clean and well presented apartments with great facilities if you want to cook yourself. The swimming pool is refreshing on a warm day and the home cooked dinner which is offered on some nights is an absolute must. It’s a short drive along a gravel road to San Gimignano which can be a little dusty in the warmer months however the views are exceptional. We would definitely stay here again.

It's such a beautiful place! The hosts were amazing. They look after their guests. We booked for three days, but we extended to 5 as we loved the place!!! 😍 The cottage we stayed was perfect and secluted. Lots of wildlife in the surroundings.

The ideal location to take in the tranquillity of Tuscany but also see the major cities in the Tuscan area. The villa is beautiful and an early morning swim was a refreshing way to start each day. The true gem of this property is the family that own it, they welcomed us with smiles and hugs, and truly made us feel like we were home. We can't imagine staying anywhere else in San Gimignano.

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon. The staff here are incredible. It's a family run business, and the family are incredibly helpful and welcoming. Our "room" was really several rooms (very large) with all the necessary amenities for a five night stay. It doesn't have all the trappings of a typical hotel (e.g., room service, towel replenishment, etc.), but we did not really need any of that during our stay. You can arrange for a small breakfast in the mornings, and they serve a delicious dinner three evenings a week (all for an additional fee of course). Again, the family are very nice about giving travel advice around the region and were lovely all-around. We had a great honeymoon!

Our stay are Il Borghetto was unforgettable! Thanks to Sandra, Nicola and the rest of the team, we had an excellent time - they really make you feel at home! The dinner at the hotel on Friday night was phenomenal. The location of the property is ideal, right in the center of everything. Windows/doors in our room did not have screens which meant you could not open them due to the mosquitos. This is not an issue when you visit in the summer since they have AC in the rooms. But we like the fresh air and the nights in early September offered perfect sleeping weather. Next time we will bring a king sized, no opening mosquito net. Most rooms have large wood beams that allow you to loop a long lanyard with a hook to hang a net.

Staff was wonderful. Simona gave us great tips on where to visit to get the most out of our trip. Many persons there were repeat customers who have been coming for +10 years. It is quite and slow paced, just the perfect place to unwind and meet nice people.
