Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesBlue Inn is not a 24 hr. access hotel and one has to be flexible and work within the parameters provided : 3pm check in: no exceptions. On request, there are venues nearby where you can store luggage while you people watch at a coffee bar, wine bar or restaurant. The bathrooms are small with limited counter space and the elevator is tight for two adults with luggage.
The location is a hidden gem ( look for the brass plague with its name because it looks like an apartment building, within walking distance to Spanish Steps, Parthenon, Termini Train Station and Trenti Fountain. The suites/rooms are located in an older building with a smaller elevator in keeping with Rome regulations but the interior rooms are updated. The street is centrally located to Train Station, Drug Stores, several restaurants (the best and reasonably priced : La Pentolaccia ) and a pizza parlor ( 50 Kalò di Circo Salvo) where locals line up in the street waiting to get in). The best asset of this property is Giuseppe (Mr. G.) the Blue Inn manager, who went above and beyond on too many occasions to list. Every time I put the key into the door I felt like I was returning home!

United KingdomWe just struggled a little bit in opening the front door using the keys given, but with a little play on it, we were able to open it. Also, we expected it to be like that since we were given a heads up by the staff before check in that it was bot easy to open the front door.
Location: You can get bus 63 from this property to most of the tourist attractions. It is located near the embassy of timor leste. Room: The room was air conditioned, big, spacious and has a high ceiling. Has a bath tub in the room itself. Has a tv, closet, safety vault and refrigerator. There was also a kitchen outside the room, which guests can use. Microwave, coffee maker, plates, cutleries and small dining tables are there if you would want to use. Bed: Bed and pillows were comfortable to use. Bathroom: It is big and spacious as well, we were provided with clean towels, shampoo, shower gel, shower cap and a cute small vanity set. Hair dryer was available to use. Water pressure was high and water heater worked perfectly. Staff: Staff were responsive via booking.com app. We were welcome by a lovely man, he showed us where the suite was, explained the house rules and clearly instructed us how to get in through the doors. Safety: The property can only be accessed via three doors, which I think is safe and secured.

AustraliaThe hot water took a little while to come through to the shower. It would have been ideal to have other pillow types as they weren't as comfortable as anticipated.
Staff were super friendly, funny and helpful. The room was clean and tidy. Location was close to major sites within the city centre. Overall, great hotel and would stay again.

GreeceForgot to take photos 😊
Everything was as described. . Spacious, clean, excellent bed and mattress. The shower is wonderful. Hot water is available at all times. The hotel offers complementary coffee capsules and a coffe making machine as well as tea making facilities in a communal kitchen. Apart from milk, everything is provided to have a quick coffee or tea in your room. Even cutlery and plates if you wanna have a snack. There is a balcony that does not offer the greatest view, but it was perfect for our morning coffee or a late cup of tea. The hotel is indeed a short walk from piazza Barberini or even the Fontana di Trevi or the Pantheon. And a few bus stops are 4 minutes walk to take you every where. If you need any advise, just ask the polite staff. Overall one of the best places to stay in Rome.. Thank you .

ItalyNothing that I could think of.
The apartment is in a great location, 15 minutes' walk from the Roma Termini train station. It is very easy to find, and the host is super friendly and extremely available. He also provided to us some great local recommendations that we took advantage of. Everything was extremely clean and very spacious, considering the location. We travelled as a family with young children and we really enjoyed out stay.

Belgium- The shower goes from cold to hot every 15 seconds. Not comfortable to take a shower - No 24 hours check-in
- Great location - Comfortable bed - Kitchen with tea and coffee available 24/7 - Nice staff - Direct view to the shower from the bedroom. Quite nice if you travel with your partner but less if you travel with your grandmother haha 😅
