Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaFor my wife and I the mattress was uncomfortable. We do realize this is a personal preference.
The location was excellent as it is in the Trastevere district. Lots of restaurant choices. Although the apartment is on a main street, the unit is set back and very quiet at night. There is a nice coffee shop a short walk from the apartment (walk out and turn left -- cross the street and it's on the corner) that my wife and I enjoyed. Not to mention there is a Suppli restaurant just around the corner. Desiree provided a detailed video to enter the apartment. The only issue I had was that you had to call a telephone number to unlock the street door and another door, and for whatever reason, it was not working. Thankfully, there were tenants who let us in. To her credit, when I let Desiree know of this issue, she called me immediately. The issue was resolved. The room was clean and comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, and there was a safe available for us. I realize this is a personal preference, but my wife and I found the mattress uncomfortable. The pillows were good. We took a taxi from Roma Termini and it cost us 15 Euros. It was a 15 minute walk to the Campo de Fiori and about 20 minutes to Piazza Navona. That said, my wife and I were walking at a leisurely pace. Desiree also provided us with her recommendations for restaurants. All in all, my wife and I enjoyed our stay and we would stay again when we return to Rome.

Perfect. If you love Rome and haven't been to Trestevere, you should. B&B Zoe is your place. Very good location, close to restaurants, bars, shops, transport. All historical sights are on walking distance, if you don't like walking, there is convenient transportation. The hostess is very kind, a real angel, she helped us in difficult situations.

United KingdomBar fridges aren't the coldest, so (with the heat) I was wary of keeping milk in it. Very small quibble.
Trastevere is a great place to stay. Very central with lots of bars and restaurants nearby. Very safe and comfortable flat (there are 4 locked doors between the street and your bedroom), with a supermarket downstairs. Breakfast (hot drink and pastry) is at the cafe downstairs, so very convenient. Room has a small, glass-fronted, bar fridge, en-suite bathroom and air-conditioning. Bedding changed halfway through our short stay.

United KingdomNo complaints, it was great. Some people have mentioned about noise, we heard a bit of noise from a renovation nearby but not enough to cause much bother. We wouldnt expect complete silence in a central location.
Great location and the host was so so helpful, she arranged lifts for us and allowed us to store our bags after check out due to having a late flight. Room was clean, large and balcony was lovely. AC was a dream! Close to loads of great restaurants and only 30 min stroll to trevi/colosseum etc. We were given a helpful video on where and how to access the B&B so no problems there. Overall a great stay, nice and private but help was there on the phone for any questions we may have had.

United KingdomWould have been great to have full curtains in the room we stayed in. The shutters were great for blocking most the light but not all of it.
We had a great stay at bed & Breakfast Zoe! Desiree is fantastic at communication over WhatsApp both before, during and after. Both her and her sister were so lovely and helpful, there english was fantastic. The beds were comfy and the room was lovely, great location as out of the city but still very accessible. The breakfast tokens were great for the cafe downstairs! The street next door also has some fantastic restaurants! Thank you Desiree and Naomi. We had a great stay

United KingdomNothing, literally perfect!
B&B Zoe is situated 20mins walk from a mainline train station, 15mins walk from the Pantheon and all of the other delights Rome has to offer. Trastevere is beautiful and feels very safe, the property is within a block of apartments entered by security gate and intercom entry. The apartment is clean, spacious, nicely decorated with all that you want for a city break. Breakfast is provided at a beautiful bakery / cafe / deli next door which is a real slice of local Rome. Desiree is the PERFECT host, helpful, just the right level of attentive and I really felt that nothing would have been too much trouble, but there was no trouble as everything had been thought of. You will struggle to find a better Rome B&B.

United StatesMore like an Air B&B than actual Bread and Breakfast. Room is in an apartment on third floor of building. getting in requires a code to get through building gate, code to get into tower of apartment, special key to get in apartment, and still another key to get into room. On second day, we discovered building management had put rat traps around interior courtyard.
Location in Trastevere, one of the liveliest sections of Rome but close to the major sites. The owners are very friendly and accommodating.

United KingdomNothing!
We had a fantastic experience at B&B Zoe! The location is right prime for eating out as it is right between Trastevere and Testaccio which both have great restaurants and bars. The room was very large and comfortable, with air conditioning, black-out shutters everything you could need for a city break! Most importantly Desiree and Angelo (the B&B hosts) are wonderful, friendly, organised and kind people! We will definitely try to stay here again when we are in Rome next!
