The setting of Villa Maria is absolutely stunning, in the middle of vineyards, olive plantations, mountains and greenery. This is the place to come if you want to disconnect by the pool in the middle of nature. The room was spacious, Luciana was a generous and professional host, and the property is 20 minutes from Cala Ganone by car.

The only suggestions we would have is for the apartment to have less personal belongings. Not a huge issue but it did make you feel slightly uncomfortable to begin with (you do quickly get used to it). Apart from that, absolutely nothing. We felt thoroughly relaxed and enjoyed every moment!

The location and views of the pool were just breathtaking. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time out by the pool, every time we did we had it to ourselves so it was just lovely and peaceful. We were made to feel really welcome by the host, who was lovely and friendly. We also made friends with the dog who lives on the property, who was super friendly and cute. The property itself is located conveniently near to Cala Ganone, just about a 15 minute drive so we ventured there most days. But the views, wow, you just felt so secluded and peaceful waking up surrounded by greenery and mountains.

Worth knowing that travel by car is pretty much essential. There are plenty of lovely restaurants in Cala Gonone and places to visit / explore but not really possible without transport and you will end up doing a fair bit of driving. If peace and quiet are what you’re looking for, this place is perfect.

Beautiful B&B surrounded by vineyards and countryside views. The infinity pool and terrace area are particularly special. Luciana was an excellent host and helped us book a boat trip as well as with recommendations for activities and places to eat. We particularly enjoyed hiking in Su Gorropu canyon, and Spaggia Osalla (sandy beach near Orosei) as well as a stunning boat trip along the Gulf of Orosei from Cala Gonone.

I had a wonderful stay at this charming little B&B! The highlight was definitely the beautiful pool, where I could relax and enjoy the stunning view of the surrounding scenery. The hostess was incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home. The tranquil ambiance and picturesque setting were exactly what I needed for a relaxing getaway. The only minor drawback was the simplicity of the breakfast. While it was adequate, I would have appreciated a more varied selection. Nonetheless, the overall experience more than made up for it, and I would gladly return for another visit. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, this B&B is the perfect choice!

Breakfast was simple but ok.

The location was very good. There were a lot of places nearby to have dinner. Also a large supermarket was nearby. The view from the pool was great! The landlady was very friendly and helpful.

Luciana was very friendly and accommodating to our late arrival time. The room was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was yummy and the views from the garden - incredible. The pool was a bonus - even if a bit chilly due to being late in the season!!

Luciana was so welcoming and helpful - provided us with an amazing recommendation for a restaurant and booked it for us. We had such a lovely apartment, with outside seating overlooking the amazing vinyards and mountains. The pool was also fantastic, again with beautiful views! The perfect place to relax and unwind - we will hopefully be back!

Bathroom was a bit smelly (source unidentified), leaving the window open mitigated the issue. WLAN was just barely available in our room, kept dropping a lot. The area has dogs which are barking through *every* night (we stayed for 5 days). Not too close/loud but only undisturbing if you sleep with shut windows/doors. Important notice (not considered in rating): The 'Via V. Bachelet' route from Dorgali to the Villa Maria is in terrible shape, driving there damaged our car - wished we had known beforehand.

Everything about the pool area is gorgeous, including the view. Very good breakfast. We booked the 'suite', which is a comfortable large room with a very nice outside area in front of it. We enjoyed the company of the many cats of this place (most of them are shy and/or keep their distance if you don't push for interaction). If you're looking for a restaurant, we found the close-by 'Sant'Elene' very recommendable.

Bear in mind that payment is in cash, and since accommodation with this location has an upscale price, you may have to go to the bank and/or travel with more cash than one is used to or is comfortable with nowadays.

We agree with everybody who applauds the breathtakingly beautiful location, as shown on the pictures. Good WiFi signal near the pool (in our room, it depended on where we were exactly). Good restaurants nearby (< 10 minutes by car, an agriturismo serving good evening food and wine is a 20-30-minute walk). More than the regular Italian breakfast (don't expect a full northern European or English breakfast on the other hand, but we didn't). Check-in as advertised is rather late, but we could make specific appointments, also about staying around after checking out from the room, when one of us had plans, whereas the other could not join. Professional communication. Dog-Friendly (there are two dogs and some curious cats around, however, so keep that in mind).

Amazing accommodation with beautiful landscape and nature, great host and relaxing garden. Luciana made fresh cake every morning, even when we needed to leave earlier for a boat trip. We felt so good and relaxed here, and my boyfriend decided to propose me next to the swimming pool with the beautiful view. We really want to come back here.

Beautiful outdoor space and swimming pool over looking the vineyard. Luciana was so helpful and gave us great restaurant recommendations. Luciana was also flexible and was happy for us to sit by the pool area whilst we waited for our flight later on. Thanks for a lovely break.

Rooms could use a little update.

Viviana is lovely and super helpful. We woke up early to prepare breakfast for us since we were leaving early. And she called to book a local agriturismo dinner for us. She's amazing! The pool and area are beautiful, it was a bit too cold for us to swim in October unfortunately!

The location is beautiful! Great view of the valley and mountains with good places to relax and swim while enjoying the view. Very private environment to fully relax. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfy. The service was very friendly, with information about restaurants nearby and the activities (hiking, coast). Highly recommended

Our room was on the small side - it did not bother us, but I think it's good to know. The fridge in the room didn't seem to be working that well, and the coffee machine was not cleaned in a long time. I'd suggest getting rid of it - who wants to drink coffee in their room when they are in Italy? ;)

Our host, Luciana, was absolutely lovely! She made us feel really welcome :) The B&B is a little way away from Dorgali - you need a car to reach it. Ask the owner for directions, as the car navigation may take you on a dirt road, and there's a much better alternative. Once you get there, you are rewarded with a stunning view from the swimming pool! The swimming pool is actually the absolute best thing about this place - you can easily spend a day or two just lounging by the pool, taking in the views...

- the room is really old, with loads of stuff - the furniture etc seem dirty and old - no cleaning after the night - there are loads of cats on the areal and the are always in front of the room. For me this seems not very hygienic and it was really annoying - there is a microwave and a water cooler, but only one glas and no possibility to get rid of the dirty dishes and nobody removed them neither - the whole area of the house seems unkempt and lots of unnecessary waste is lying around —> price-performance ratio is really bad. I would never go there again. For Budget travelling ok, but the price is like a boutique hotel
