Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomAs someone from the UK not used to warm temperatures, I might have liked the A/C on sooner. However, when the temperature did get higher, the A/C came on.
Perfect location - max 10 minutes to Piazza Bra'. Lots of restaurants, cafes and a supermarket right next to the hotel. Blackout blinds meant a great night's sleep! The room was cleaned really well every week day. So useful to have a fridge in the room and free coffee machine in the shared area. Very friendly and welcoming host. Very small guest house and I felt very at home here for my 6-day stay in Verona. I would definitely recommend this guest house.

United KingdomThere wasn’t anything that we didn’t like, however, it would have been helpful to have known what was available to us in the communal area when we checked in.
Fabulous location, the property is very clean, immaculate in fact. The bedrooms are a nice size, plenty of room, the same with the bathrooms (we had two rooms). Extra pillows and blankets are supplied in the wardrobe. Daily housekeeping. A safe is also included in the wardrobe. Just outside of the rooms are three tables and a drinks machine. There is also cutlery, plates, toaster and a kettle in the cupboards, which we didn’t realise were in there/had access to as this wasn’t told to us upon checking in. We also didn’t know what we were supposed to do with dirty cutlery / cups as there are no washing up facilities. Please make sure you ask Francesca to show you how to unlock the apartment door (not the one off the street into the main building, but the one into the apartment) as we had to disturb her as we couldn’t get back in! Really this should be something that she automatically shows people. The apartment has restaurants and bars in close proximity, we found that there was a lot of street noise into the early hours on the Saturday evening so if you are a light sleeper/need silence to be able to sleep, it might be worth taking earplugs.

United StatesMy husband and I recently stayed at B&B Teatro Ristori Verona and had a wonderful experience. The owner made us feel right at home with her warm hospitality. The place was spotless and very comfortable, with a cozy bed that ensured a great night's sleep. The location was perfect, with restaurants within walking distance. I highly recommend B&B Teatro Ristori Verona to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming stay.

United StatesIt was all super.
Friendly and helpful family who greeted us (they live on site). High quality accommodation. Step outside, turn a couple of corners and you're right in the heart of Verona. We had an afternoon flight, and it was very kind of the family to let us leave our bags.

United KingdomCheck-in was not until 4pm. I would have liked an earlier check-in. Although it is called a B and B (bed and breakfast), it seems that there was no possibility to have breakfast there. There are cafes locally, but I would have liked the option of having it there. (I must point out that I WAS aware breakfast was not included.)
Very clean and comfortable. Great that there was free WiFi. Perfect location for my visit as I was going to a concert at Teatro Ristori.

The room was big, beautiful with nice decoration and very clean. It has everything you could need. The bathroom also was big, clean with hot water anytime. In the comon living room it has machine that you can make coffee, tea for free. The hostess was a really kind and helpful lady. The room was just 5 minutes from the castlevecchio and 15 minutes from the train station. In the heart of Verona. I would surely stay again

United KingdomThis is really central and a bit noisy as I had the windows open. Other rooms may have been quieter. Just a preference thing.
Absolutely fabulous location. Very safe for lone ( female) travellers with a huge number and range of nice eateries round the corner and all the sights within a stroll. Nice big room, excellent bathroom. Drinks machine in foyer. The landlady was kind enough to keep luggage until the evening. Excellent value for a pricey destination. Lovely building and gives a real feeling of being somewhere interesting.

United KingdomShutters down to keep out heat and light but did not muffle the noise of the very efficient city rubbish and bottle collections from the street bins in the small hours of the morning.
No breakfast (or coffee) but local cafes convenient and pleasant. Good air conditioning. Location good for exploring the city, riverside historic building as well as for getting to the Arena. The teatro is nearby for those attending events there.

United StatesThe feeling that you're just staying in someone's apartment converted into a B&B. The owner stays in one of the rooms so when coming in at night your trying to tiptoe in to your room as to not cause much noise for the owner or other guests.
Room was a good size for the money, clean and had a fridge. Just a few minutes walk to Piazza Bra and the Theatro. Staff was great. Good value for the cost.
