Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesI miss arriving at hotels and being greeted by the host, but that's the new world of access codes and WhatsApp B&Bs. The disadvantage is that you can't spend ten minutes with someone who knows the city and can offer directions or tips or suggestions for restaurants, etc. You can WhatsApp them, but not quite the same as a friendly face. If you are driving, there is free public parking in two big outdoor lots a five minute walk from the B&B, but keep in mind that if it's a weekend, the lots will be full and if you're coming back from an excursion you may have to look for parking elsewhere and driving in Agrigento is a nightmare—not because of the drivers, but because you will get easily lost (even with GPS) on narrow, one-way streets.
We were two friends traveling and had a lovely, large room on the first floor with two single beds pushed together and one other single bed. We had two big windows and It was very quiet, even though we were on a busy street and right next to the lobby. The room and bathroom were very clean. The location is amazing; just on the edge of the old city center. Sandra wasn't there when we arrived, but there was easy access to entry with a code. The kitchen and patio at the top are wonderful—great views—and Sandra keeps the fridge stocked with water and coffee and snacks. A very nice man who works with Sandra made lunch reservations for us at a great restaurant (Il Re di Girgenti) near the fabulous Valley of the Temples (DO NOT MISS THIS!) which is a ten minute drive from the B&B.

United StatesNothing 😊
The view from the balcony was perfect. We looked down on the Valley of the Temples and the ocean during the day and during the night we got a bottle of wine and relaxed on the balcony. The owners were very responsive and instructions worked without any problems. The property is situated between the bus station and the rail station, not more than a 5-10 minute walk. The property lies at the beginning of the old town, which we walked all around in and found an amazing overlook. We got a referral by Sandra to one of the best meals we have had in Sicily at the Manhattan restaurant, which is right in front of the property up a few steps. Sandra was helpful in every way and couldn’t have stayed at a better place.

United StatesThe steps up to the terrace can be a little uneven in height, but we noticed that as we were maneuvering them.
The room was spacious, clean, and charming. The terrace balcony was delightful. One side of the balcony has a distant view of the Temples and the sea. The other side of the balcony is covered by a pergola, has lots of plants, and provides a cheery view of the cityscape - it was a great place to enjoy the free breakfast coffee, cereal, and yogurt. We were able to do remote check-in and check-out which was helpful given our schedule trying to see the Temples and find parking on a Saturday night. The area is the place to be on a Saturday night and we delighted in all the families out to enjoy themselves. We found a table at a restaurant downstairs and had a delightful and delicious meal.

BulgariaWe are satisfied with our stay. We wandered around a bit during rush hour to find a parking space. We were placed in the fourth apartment, which was on the quiet side of the street. On the smart side there is loud music and parties until 1.00 am. on the bed there is a wooden backrest that slams into the wall, it is good to grab it with silicone or something. The terrace is phenomenal. The bathroom is great. The entrance hall and the gifts for eating and drinking are great!

AustraliaThe room was lovely: large, clean and very comfortable. The location is perfect, especially for anyone arriving by train or bus. We noticed many other BnBs are on streets with steep steps. The rooftop terrace has an amazing view of Valley of the Temples and is a great spot to relax at any time of day. Sandra is an exceptional host. Thank you!

TaiwanNothing - the place was perfetto. There are quite a few stairs and no lift, which wasn't an issue for us as we packed light and can handle the stairs, but something to consider for other travellers.
Our room was comfortable, clean, spacious and beautiful. We had a great view into the square next to the B&B. The location is fantastic and central, and it's easy to walk wherever you want to explore. The staff were kind and helpful, and walked us through the different places we may want to visit during our stay and outlined what buses we could take to get there which saved us significant research time online on our own. We left this morning and I already want to go back! There is also a beautiful terrace on the roof where you can have breakfast, or sit and take in the view. We arrived before check in and had to stay a bit past check out just due to buses and trains, and we were welcome to sit on the terrace and enjoy while we waited.

AustraliaSandra was great to deal with. Booked us into our room early, we arrived on the train from Palermo around 10am Beautiful room, very comfortable bed. Two gorgeous balconies looking out on the street. Upstairs on the terrace was awesome. We took some drinks up there and sat outside as the sun went down looking out towards the sea. Also up on the terrace was a complete kitchen for the guests to use, stove, microwave, fridge, freezer, coffee pod machine, cereal, yoghurt, bottled water, milk, juices, just excellent. Definitely worth staying! Read about it in lonely planet 5-10 minute easy walk to station and buses. Restaurants everywhere!

SwitzerlandThere wasn’t anything i didn’t like. The breakfast could be improved, eg offering dark bread or eggs (a bit more of a balanced diet).
We really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation is very well located in the city center hut still quiet. The room is made daily, you have the option to hve breakfast there. The checkin was very simple, Sandra had shared the codes with us ahead of time so we could checkin independently. Highly recommended.

AustraliaParking was a problem as it was a busy Saturday evening, and steep narrow stairs were inconvenient with suitcases, however these issues were minimal and far outweighed by the excellent accommodation.
This B&B is in a perfect location right in the centre of town overlooking the main ‘promenade’. The room had two balconies opening to lovely city views, but with double double glazing doors so when you closed them there was no sound inside. The room was modern and impeccably presented and clean. Sandra provided good instructions for access, and Fillipo was a great host for breakfast. The rooftop terrace overlooking the Valley of the Temples was wonderful for sunset drinks and also for breakfast. Breakfast met our needs and was very adequate. Overall a high quality accommodation better than what we had experienced in two weeks prior in Sicily.

NetherlandsTo our tastes, the beds were a bit too hard and the pillows too soft. It would have been better if the shampoo and showergel were provided in a dispenser instead of small plastic sacks.
The location of the B&B is very central: close to the old town and numerous bars and restaurants around the corner. Our room was quite spacious. The breakfast was good and the view was excellent.

United KingdomGreat location, close to Agrigento Railway Station, overlooking the main street of the city (Via Atenea) with a great selection of bars and eateries nearby. Good view from the rooftop terrace over the valley of the temples towards the Mediterranean Sea as well. My stay coincided with Agrigento's annual "Almond Blossom Festival" and some of the parades went straight past the B&B.
