Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GermanyLocation of the B&B was very nice. It was near many restaurants and shops. It is located fairly in the centre of Palermo and a bus was not necessary! The location was so good that you didn’t need a bus since all the attractions were near you (besides the beach)!

United KingdomThe size of the room was not large but adequate. During the booking process we requested twin beds but on arrival found we had been allocated a double bed. We are two male friends travelling together so this felt awkward, but we were tired so just made the best of it. To avoid this in future when booking through Booking.com my advice would be is to contact the hotel directly and make sure they know what bed arrangements you want. Some paint was peeling off the walls, which, while it didn't affect our stay wasn't great to look at.
The neighbourhood this B&B is located in is very nice and it was quiet and felt safe at night when walking back to the room. The owner who met us was very nice. The room was clean. The price we paid was fair.

We spent one night in the room. We came to the room late and night and the host was kind enough to provide us all information. The place is close to Palermo Lolli train station which is a convinent way to get to the airport. Also there are good restaurants around this place.

She was in the room next door shatting on phone, which was on a speaker as well. and was really loud I knocked on door to ask her to be not so loud as it was really disturbing. She was really rude and said: i work here as if that makes it acceptable.

GermanyThe room was supposed to have “private” bathroom which you’d think it’s in your room. However the room is miles away from that bathroom, so not at all privacy there. The host was very rude, giving us a room which is next to construction, super noisy at night and in the morning. On top of that, very loudly playing music from the speaker next to our room.
