Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThere are no elevators so you have to carry luggage up stairs, we were assisted so that was nice. No coffee making facilities and no water in the room.
It was in a good position virtually stand alone with parking right in front. An amazing old building (more than 180 years old) which offered a number of rooms with their own bathrooms. They had cute balconies and I even managed to do some laundry and hang them out on the balcony just like the locals do. A 15 minute walk had us in Old Gallipoli a definite must see. Rooms were a bit tight with 2 large suitcases and 1 carry on. Easy walking distance to the main strip...and to the local beach area. Lots of food choices, with fresh seafood being food of choice as they fish daily. It's a family run business and breakfast was sensational...all made in casa...there was just so much, it was truly wonderful. During the summer they have it on their outdoor patio, in the winter inside dining area.

AustraliaMy partner and I stayed at Antico as our first stop on our Puglia honeymoon and it was fantastic! Location is right in the heart of the new town, close to the bars/ restaurants and a short walk to the old town. Parking there is ample free parking right outside the accommodation making it really easy with our large Suit cases! Check in was made super easy with Angelo who even provided restaurant recommendations which we went to and was super tasty! The room had literally everything you needed - aircon, fridge, clothing line, balconies and it felt very very safe and secure Breakfast was out of this world! They provided so much for us to eat and drink, we didn’t eat again until the evening! The hosts were so lovely and very patient with my broken/ not so great Italian speaking skills. I highly recommend staying here and we would definitely return.

AustraliaNothing. Loved it.
Delightful spacious former family home beautifully set up for guests with friendly and helpful family hosts. Even when closed, instant assistance when I had trouble with the front door one night. Ample breakfast on the terrace. Some of the downstairs rooms are modern/white but mine was delightfully decorated with frescos and antique furniture as were the public areas. Literally the closest building to the railway station across a car park/square. Plenty of shops/cafes within a few blocks, and a flat 15 minute walk to the old town.

Hotel was 1 min walk from railway station, so great after a long train trip. Had the 4bed family room, was spacious and well planned with lots of shelf/clothes hanging space. Beds/pillows were super comfortable. The star is the rooftop terrace where we spent a lot of the time and they also served breakfast. Great sea views and sea breeze. Very pleasant family run ,specially very helpful( and glamorous!)Desiree Breakfast was very sumptuous. 1/2hr walk to old town, but has loads of restaurants close by.

United KingdomThe breakfast was amazing...and that's coming from an Englishman! It is family run and its obvious they really care! The sheets were old school cotton and starched! I read a few negative reviews...probably the usual suspects that are never happy!
The location is amazing especially if you have a car as there is plenty of free parking close by. It's in the centre of the town and only a 10 minute walk from the old historical centre.

United KingdomWe had a room for 3 . I don't think the single bed was great according to my friend. The balcony was too small to sit on but we could use the terrace which was fine.
A lovely old hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful really lovely even carried my case upstairs! Breakfast was excellent loads of choice. In the evening we could sit up on the terrace with our wine, there were no glasses in the room but they happily supplied some. Thank goodness for google translate!!! Located by the station so free parking which was great. A 10-15 min walk to the old town but that was fine . A fridge in the room was useful. Would stay again.
