We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GermanyBreakfast was a bit too basic. The brioche (bread rolls), croissants were individually packed in plastic. The coffee came from aluminium pads. Not very sustainable.
We were just passing through Lecco and spent only one night here. For this purpose, the accommodation was fine. Our host, Andrea (a man's name in Italy) was very courteous and informative - and he spoke English very well. Our room was on the second floor (no elevator/lift) and was beautifully decorated, spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. From the shared balcony (shared with the other room on the second floor) we had a view of the hills on the other side of the Lago di Garlate, south of Lago di Como, over the rooftops of the houses in front. To get from Rocca dell'Innominato to the centre of Lecco you'll need a bike or a car - or take a taxi or bus. Otherwise, the location is fine for walks/hiking in the hills behind Lecco. When passing through Lecco the next time, we'll most probably stay in the Rocca. :-)

LithuaniaCreaky bed, breakfast included, but you can't call it normal breakfast, only yoghurt and a few sweets. Bad sound isolation and cold in room. Even if you start heating which works, after some time it stops, so we woke up in cold room.
Good location, clean room, easy checkin. Good view from the windows.

Completed the stay with a hearty breakfast to perfection! Location is easily accessible by car and parking along the road wherever possible. RomaniaI was with my wife for a night ,on a day break ,on the way to Bergamo airport. Everything was great.Very nice room and building,nice decorated , very clean,big bed with very nice and clean linen ,smart TV,a lot of towels,very good bufet breakfast,free public parking at maximum 5 minutes walk,self check-in with electronic pin number so you do not have to worry if you arrive late. The owner was very nice and very helpful.I recomand.

Really nice B&B, Manzoni-themed and very comfortable. Packed with functional details, including a smart TV where you can connect your Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. accounts. in a convenient area, not too central, but where it is easy to find parking very close. Final gem: the independent entrance with a code provided by the kind owner upon your arrival or by email, which guarantees security 2.0 and full comfort. Super recommended!

AustraliaThe host tried to charge us extra for the room. Our Booking.com receipt said we pay Eur2 for tourist tax. The notice in the room also said Eur2 for tax. However the host insisted that we have to pay extra for Tourist tax Stamp Duty. We paid the Tourist tax and then the host complained that we didn't pay .VERY DISSAPOINTING AND STRESSFULL . The room is on second floor with steep steps. Very difficult if you have large bags.
The room was clean and the breakfast satisfactory. We found parking near by.
