Saturday morning, the workers in the room next to us were being really loud and were slamming the drawers supposedly cleaning so after a night out, was a quite loud awakening.

My friends and I stayed for two nights, Friday and Saturday, and our stay was very enjoyable. The first night we checked in, the women at the desk was very friendly and spoke very good English. We asked about places to go since we'd never been in Rimini before and she told us a couple places and gave us advice. It definitely wasn't as sketchy as it looked online.

Our room was noisy and the bed had weak springs. I'm sure that if we brought it up to the attention of staff, both problems would have been sorted. But we decided to not mention it, as we really liked the room's location. So don't let this discourage you!

Wonderful staff, excellent location, we felt like part of a family. Free coffee before 10am exceeded my expectations and really made our days better. We enjoyed staying in as much as going out, as the room had blindfolds and an aircon that made siesta very pleasant. The owner and the staff are really caring and responsive, the room is always clean and the cleaners are very kind and swift. The place has a very happy and relaxed vibe: it feels like people working there like their jobs and want you to feel just as good and welcomed. It's about 23 minute walk from the heart of the city and 10 minutes or less to the sea (and I mean the water part, not the beach), so we never took public transport anywhere apart from the airport. Hotel Ausonia is a great hotel with very friendly and helpful workers. Guests get free coffee in the morning. The beach is 5 minute walk. We lost our wallet in the beach, so we had to stay longer in the hotel. The receptionist helped us in everything (to find the police station, we got a new room where we could stay and wait our flight - after check out time). In this way I would like to thank you for that!

The interior furniture and towels could be updated at some point, but all still works well. The electrical socket would not except my more modern travel adaptor plug. So had to buy one from a local shop. An easy fix to solve and something that did not spoil my overall experience.

Location was good. 10 to 15 minutes to the beach, town centre, local supermarket and laundrette. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. My room was big enough for me.

Didnt like; Beds were very old, sagging, old spring beds with springs felt when laying down. They desperately need to update the beds!! If they did that, it would be great. When you are out all day exploring and then can't sleep because the bed is so uncomfortable then it ruins the whole stay. We were in rooms 20 and 22.

The Staff were really lovely! Location was good for us. Easy walk to Esplanade, Cafe's, train. Very clean! Old decore was fine.
