Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwedenThe view was amazing, and the rooms are simple and clean. I was only there one night and wish I had a little more time as it was a good location to explore from. The staff are very helpful.

United StatesIt would have been nice if the hostel also had a communal shampoo but it was a small matter.
It was a chiller hostel than the party ones. A quiet place to rest and still maybe make some friends to explore Torino with. The location was also very central and easy to get to or depart from as the main train station is right there and an airport shuttle takes you almost directly there. Lots of decent pastries and coffee places around too. Alicia was also extremely helpful and patient, making us feel welcome and oriented.

FranceClean. Nice location near the city centre. Tenants are very kind. Price is reasonable. Don't forget to bring your own lock and towel, you pay extra fees (1 or 2 euros) for these. I strongly recommend this hostel.

South KoreaPersonally the room has smells of odor when the window closed but bearable :) Btw the Wall has very big stains yet did not contaminate to bedding or other things.
Crews are really nice and kind. Atmosphere of hostel is very bright and cozy, and other facilities are accessible and well organized. Bed is comfortable and each bed has individual power sockets. Italy has its own power socket sizes so adapter is needed.

SloveniaQuite expensive for a bunk bed in hostel.
I came to the city by train and the place is perfectly located close to the train station, also within walking distance from main squares and attractions in the city centre. Nice, clean rooms with bunk beds and clean bathrooms. there's also a shared kitchen in the hostel.

United KingdomIf I really have to search for a needle in a haystack, it is that it would be top of the top to have a light inside the personalised storage box. IKEA or Amazon sells them USB rechargeable. Of course you need a case box to slot them in and out. If you charge € 5.00 deposit, it is very unlikely it will become a souvenir to take home. On a more sustainable level, it would be ideal from time to time to oil the hinge of the metal doors of the personalised storage box. If you have to open the door in the middle of the night, it might be an unpleasant squeaky noise. Apart from these two small details. There is no doubt you have survived through turbulent times.
I liked the character of the place. Warm, comfortable yet fascinating. I liked the fact that it is run by people that not only know what they are doing, but also they are doing with pleasure. No request was never too much of a request. I liked the fact that despite being the owner they were sitting at the table with the guests. I am an old soul, and I fell in love with the lamp, in the dining room. The bed side table is an empty wooden box of wine. A sure plus point is the personalised storage box for personal possession. Safety first that goes hand in hand to promote hygiene as I did not have to marry other room mate pubic hair. I fell in love with the variety of coffees there were in the kitchen suitable for coffee lovers or just novices on the go. Very last, but by all means not least, the main thing I fell in love with was the fridge... If you want to know more about the fridge, I highly encourage you to go and see it with your own eyes. One very last thing, was that all the staff were sincerely very prone to engage in a conversation, yet extremely discreet. On a personal level, they did book my taxy in a nano second, otherwise I would have surely missed my return flight to London. You don't go to a hostel, you go to the historical Vianello's Family. And if your are not Italian, it's an 80's comedy series. Slowly but surely I can't wait to hug you in the not too distant future. Until next time, have a safe and pleasant onward journey. Greetings from London. 🇬🇧 🇬🇧 🇬🇧 Patrizia.
