Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

HondurasThe first towels we had in the room looked a bit old, maybe its time to replace them. Its just a tiny detail.
The bus stop is right next door, and the bus takes you to the center of Sorrento and also to the train station to Naples. Breakfast was nice with a good variety of food and the staff were very attentive. Clean and comfortable, def recommend.

United KingdomNot a lot of atmosphere in the bar area. Very quiet. But that might suit a lot of people. The food was average, not amazing but perfectly acceptable when you didn’t want to venture out
The facilities were great. The lemon tree garden was so peaceful and beautiful. The roof garden has amazing views of the sea, Naples and Mt Vesuvius. We availed of the shuttle bus service at lot, which was great. Our flight back was cancelled, the staff did everything they could to ensure we could extend our stay and arrange airport transfers to Salerno. We were so grateful.

United KingdomWe were given a room in the Annex part of the hotel right by the lift, it was small with literally no balcony. It did have a decent view though. No coffee/ tea making facilities in room No courtesy water in fridge although temperature 33c Room was small and dated We went for breakfast three days which was okay. Big selection of food Lunch was pizza or pasta usual Italian menus. Price okay 14€ for pizza and pasta. We had dinner one night that cost €40 euro a head not including drinks- it was awful, don’t recommend this at all. Roof top bar was only open once during our three night stay.
It was a quiet hotel and you could relax by the pool no problem, lots of sunbeds. The pool was clean and cold. There are also two cold tubs in the garden area but no shade whatsoever there so never used. There is a courtesy a bus that will take you into Sorrento which is free till the evening and then 4 euros paid direct to the driver. Last bus home is 11pm

United StatesTransportation in and out of town doesnt start until 9 am, when majority of the activities and tours start earlier than that. The location is a bit remote at the back of the mountain, in a road with minimal sidewalk (12 inches), we almost got hit by a bus. So more frequent transportation would be good. We made the reservation with the expectation of an ocean view or at least a good view based on the pictures, when we got there we werent even in the main building but the annex facing some tall bushes. The room had stains in the curtains and the bathroom had a water spot with a crack on the ceiling. House keeping came to clean everyday tho. If you book thru booking.com expect as you are greeted the first day to see everyone get a glass of champagne but you.
The breakfast buffet by far! The different options and freshness of the food really stood out. The staff was really good, more the gentleman making the omelettes, he was really patient with everyone.

United KingdomI can’t say didn’t really like but just a couple of things that could have made it a little better, it would have been nice to have tea making facilities in the room. It would have also been ideal if there was an iron and ironing board in the room, I was attending a wedding and really could of done with ironing my shirt and trousers. The beds are slightly on the firmer side but that’s more personal preference. On another note which is nothing to concern with the hotel, the roads don’t have pavements for a good long walk down the hill into the main town so if you had children with you I would recommend using the local buses or the shuttle bus from the hotel as it can be quite dangerous if you aren’t careful.
The views from our room over the Amalfi coast were beautiful, plenty of choice for breakfast and the staff was really friendly and helpful.

NorwayNo alkohol free alternative to drink/order at the rooftop bar (not Even a soda and no water). They looked at us as if we were crazy to ask for an alcholfree drink in the bar As a pregnant traveller from North of Europe where alcholfree drinks are popular, disapointed with this. Would have to go all the way down to resepsjon to order something to drink to keep my partner Company for a beer. Ended up skipping. Double beds were to separate beds put together, at last in our room. We prefer proper double bed for comfort.
Great view and great rooms. Great cleaning. Nice decoration and baths. Good bubblebath and area for sunbading. Practical and easyl shuttlebus to Sorrente City. Great so you can leave the car. Just check timetables both ways (take photo) as we mixed the times going to Sorrento with going back, and had to wait a bit. Pre-book. No often returns at evening (18.30 next is 22.00)

United KingdomThe fact I was put at a dirty table. Going down to breakfast a bit later everything was dirty. Wearing a wristband because we were not full board. The bus that takes you to town needs to be for frequent.
The staff were lovely. The pool area was good. Breakfast if you got there early enough was good. The room was a good size and a bonus to have a garden. All the activities were very good. parking was good.

AustraliaNo where on the advertisement for this hotel does it state that it is primarily an “all inclusive” vacation experience, almost exclusively for British tourists. As we booked last minute due to flight cancellations requiring a change of destination, And paid top dollar, it was disappointing that there was no option to opt in for all inclusive access and were made to wear a festival style bracelet so staff knew we needed to pay for every small extra and at times felt treated like second class citizens. This is despite paying significantly more per night than those on an all inclusive trip. I’d recommend this place for older British couples and no one else.
Hotel is in a great location, with good facilities and great bus transfer service in to town (or a slightly treacherous walk of about 20 mins). It’s odd that the bus to town stops between 5pm and 8:30pm though. The room was comfortable.

AustraliaThe property is very unkept. A lot of maintenance needs doing and refreshing. The bar area and main reception are lovely. The pool area is nice but the rooms and other areas do need some upkeep. Also it is quite possibly the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever stayed in - we had a deluxe room and the king bed was two beds pushed together - but different heights and so uncomfortable. Was not good at all.
The staff were lovely. Very helpful and welcoming. The staff put on entertainment each day which is nice and a decent breakfast. The connection with Maya beach experience was great.

Luxembourg-very noisy, almost impossible to sleep at night. No sound proof. -very bad WiFi and absolutely not network. The only possibility to have access to internet was to go near the reception desk. -the shuttle to the city center was convenient but not much time slots and often some of them were deleted. -Absolutely does not match with the photos of the website (same inside and outside). The hotel seems to have been renovated 10-15 years ago and since it seems that there is no care of the facilities, rooms, pool etc.
Nothing.

AustraliaBooked an Ocean View room for our honeymoon but our view was obstructed by overgrown trees so there was no ocean to be seen. I asked if we could swap rooms and was told they were fully booked, however there were clearly rooms still available when I looked on booking.com. Furniture was old and outdated. Pillows were thin and lumpy. Pool closed at 6pm even though it was still hot and sunny. Courtesy shuttle bus into town was helpful since the location was further out of town, however it didn’t run between 5-8pm when it was needed most. So you had to wait long periods for the public bus or catch an expensive taxi.
Staff were friendly, drinks at the bar were moderately priced and the buffet breakfast was tasty.

SwedenWe loved our holiday at The Atlantic Palace. We were staying in the annex building and our room was beautiful, very clean and with a nice distance view over the sea and Vesuvius. We especially liked the large bathroom with beautiful tiles, double showers and a nice ceiling lightning. The staff is wonderful, kind, considerate and service-minded which made our holiday extra special. Thank you Atlantic Palace for your kind and warm hospitality.
