Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaAlthough the room had nice ammenities it was a little small. It worked out fine for us since we were only staying one night.
Monica and her husband were great hosts. We arrived late due to a cancelled train and they were very accomodating. The location is literally across the street fro Roma Termini which makes it really handy if you are travelling by train to/from Rome.

United StatesThe only downside is the shower was small, but that is very typical in Europe.
Monica was truly an amazing and responsive owner. Breakfast was served promptly in the room, and if we were leaving ahead of breakfast time, she left it in our room the night before. The bed was the most comfortable bed we had during our entire stay in Italy. (During our stay we were in 8 different accommodations.) Located less than a block from the train station and metro, it was very central to many big-ticket locations in Rome.

AustraliaNothing absolutely nothing
Absolutely everything. It was simply the best. Monica was an amazing host. From greeting us when we arrived, to the little welcome pack in our room. She gave us restaurant recommendations that were really great places to eat. The room was lovely and spacious as was the bathroom and shower. The breakfast was utterly delicious and cutely served in your room by wooden cart. I can’t say enough about Monica . She was truly a lovely and wonderful host. I would stay again in a heartbeat,

CanadaWhile location is good (across from the train station), the sidewalks can get easily congested with travellers and their luggage.
Monica is an exceptional host who goes above and beyond. She provided excellent directions on how to reach the building and was always available for any questions. Since we had a very early flight to catch, she provided us with a lovely breakfast to take with us. The place is clean and even though it is across the street from the train station, noise was at a minimum. We would definitely stay there again.

AustraliaNothing - I was a bit aprehenisve being so close to the train station (heard bad things re crime etc), but it was nothing like I imagined. The accomodation is located at the nice end.
Monica was a truely wonderful host. So helpful with resturant and attraction ideas. Just wanted to say your decor is on point, loved the posters, it made the room feel so comfortable. The breakfast was great, we loved how it was delivered to the room so fresh and exactly as we ordered. We especially loved the toasted sandwiches. The location was so convenient, very close to the train station and the drop off point for the airport buses. Thanks for a great stay.

Perfect location within walking distance to most major attractions. Only took a taxi once and that was mostly due to our sore feet after a long day. The hotel is right next to the train station which was very convenient as well. The room itself was perfect, with a comfortable bed, a safe to lock your things, and great wifi. Monica was a great host and very accommodating to check in times and gave us lots of good recommendations on restaurants. The breakfast is also very good, and you can specify what you'd like (based on a list of things available), and the time you'd like it delivered to your room. Overall, we are very glad we stayed here and would be my first option when we return some day.

4th time in Rome. We normally like staying in the Pantheon area but this time we decided to stay closer to the train station as we had planned on taking trains a bit more this time to villages outside Rome. The host Monica was simply wonderful. She reached out to us before our trip, sent us detailed directions to the guesthouse and made sure she was available to greet us at our estimated check in time. The bus from the airport literally stopped at Termini within steps from the guesthouse. The room was very clean and modern. So is the bathroom. The shower was great and plenty of pressure and hot water. WiFi was strong and worked during our entire stay. The mattress, pillows and comforters were super comfy. Sound insulation is good as we could hardly hear other rooms. That or others may have been very quiet. Breakfast was awesome and made per your order based on the given choices and delivered to your room at your requested time. The building is very quiet. There is an elevator to the guest house on the 5th floor. Walking distance to all the major attractions as they are within approximately 1 to 2 miles (we like walking for the exercise) but if you do take the bus, do make sure to validate your tickets or risk getting fined like we did (54 euros each). The same goes for all public transports. The guesthouse area is fine. We usually don’t go out at night as we are so tired from wandering around during the day so can’t comment on the nightlife here but there are many restaurants nearby which we patronized for dinner. They are all reasonably inexpensive while the quality of food is decent. All in all, we highly recommend Archi Di Roma and if it is not available for the dates, try charm&bella in the same neighborhood which is managed by Monica’s husband. The reviews for both places speak for themselves. When we come back to Rome, we will not hesitate to stay at either.
