Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United KingdomThis is NOT a negative ….just something to be aware of. If you book the two bedroom apartment you don’t really get anywhere to sit and enjoy the lake view outside. There is a tiny terrace bit but it’s not big enough for a family …..so we spent most of the time at the pool or playing games around the large kitchen table.
We loved our stay. The hosts could not have been more helpful. We wanted the use of a kettle and a couple of different sized pots and they were immediately provided. The pool area is just fantastic and the view is stunning. The beds are comfy and everything was spotlessly clean. It is in a great location for exploring the area.

United KingdomThe photos that go with the apartment show a garden set with tables and the description includes a terrace with lake views. Since it is clear that the apartment is on the first floor, I checked beforehand that we had access to this and this was confirmed. However, we were not shown this when we arrived and I could not see any terrace/garden that was available for us to use. Of course, I could have asked but since there was nowhere set up with tables like in the picture I got the feeling we were not very welcome to such a space. The kitchen was very poorly equipped. Two huge pans are useful, but not for warming a little milk for coffee, and on that note, there was no means of making coffee or any kettle. We bought a cheap stove top one and left it there. Other things missing were cloths, for wiping surfaces and drying crockery and utensils, any kind of brush for sweeping up crumbs, basics such as salt. The owner was very nice and told us to whatsapp him if there was anything we needed, but these things should be thought of in advance - no-one wants to spend their holiday nagging the host. The worst thing was that while we rented an apartment with two sofa beds, we found out late in the night that neither of them worked. Yes, our family fitted into the bedroom spaces but that is not the point. The triple room was so hot in the baking weather (air-conditioning was weak and we needed to spread out). I understand that a previous tenant broke the sofa beds but it is then not right to expect other tenants to pay for a facility that doesn't exist. I apologise to the host for waking up the guests downstairs while trying to get the sofa bed out but for the price per night, this should have been rectified before we stayed. This place really could be well-worth the high price but the attention to ensuring a carefree experience is not quite there.
The beautiful house is in a good location with stunning views of the lake and a huge, fantastic pool. There are only two suites and two apartments so there are only ever a few people at the pool and we regularly had it to ourselves. The apartment is very nicely and plainly decorated. This could have been a 10/10 experience, but for the issues below which could be so easily remedied - and should have been, given the price.

The house is very tastefully furnished and thanks to its location on a slope, there is a great view of the countryside. But the best is the swimming pool, beautiful, clean and overlooking the lake.

An exceptional place to stay if you're looking for a place to reset. Beautiful house with breathtaking lake views, friendly and helpful hosts, delicious breakfast (we especially enjoyed homemade cakes and strong Italian coffee), big, clean swimming pool, comfortable room (sparkling clean!) - all of the above made Casale sul Lago Trasimeno the best place we've ever stayed at :)
