Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomA great modern conversion of an old property tastefully done. The courtyard is fantastic and a lovely place to unwind. The honesty bar is a great solution and well stocked. The breakfast was delicious and full of local freshly prepared produce. Very friendly and helpful owners. We would love to return.

United KingdomI felt guilty after eating ice cream
Barbera and Agostino are superb hosts. You feel they have become your new best friends; but I’m sure that is the case for everyone. The honesty box just makes everything easier, other than it was too easy to eat ice cream. You got a feel of authenticity and we certainly relaxed there. Thoroughly enjoyable and the cooking course was fun. Convenient for Su Nuraxi which is a must visit.

GermanyThe only slight downside is that parking is a few minutes away on foot. But that’s not really a big problem.
Lovely garden, super-friendly and helpful owners. I could use the kitchen and fridge. They provide tips for activities in the area and called the olive oil farm for me. Yummy breakfast! I felt very much at home and it was a very relaxing stay!

United StatesEverything was well done.
This is a charming B & B located in the rural, agricultural town of Mandas, central Sardinia. Originally, we thought the property was out in the country. It is not. It is in the center of this small town, down a narrow street. Parking is several blocks away, although you can unload pulled up to the front of the inn. This is NOT the property D.H. Lawrence stayed in. That property was another location in town, owned by an earlier generation. This was a little confusing in the overview of the property. The brother/sister team who own and manage the current inn are gracious, welcoming hosts and take obvious pride in their business. Rightfully, so! Barbara was very helpful in providing suggestions for dinner (most of the town is closed throughout the afternoon, opening at 4 PM, after the heat of the day) and booked us into The Vigne Ducale (a agritourism inn and restaurant that serves food raised on site). We traveled to Mandas to visit the UNESCO Bronze Age fort of Su Nuraxi, in the nearby town of Barumini. It is hard to imagine a trip to Mandas without a specific agenda, although there are a great deal of natural attractions and archaeological sites nearby. Arriving in the heat of the afternoon (106 the day we arrived) we spent the late afternoon in our room, enjoying the air conditioning (which worked wonderfully). The room was well appointed, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom facilities were on par with a 5 star hotel. Our 'cottage' had a front porch overlooking the central courtyard, but it was too hot to sit outside. The surrounding countryside is beautifully pastoral, and must be stunning in early spring. I highly recommend this property as a relaxing sojourn to visit the surrounding countryside and on par with auberges you would find in Tuscany. Don't miss the display of local items in a case outside the kitchen.

United Stateseverything was great
Everything about this place was magical: gracious hosts, gorgeous setting and spacious rooms! As a bonus, they serve a delicious homemade breakfast and have an "open fridge" policy with the selection of local wines and spirits. Still dreaming of that courtyard with lemon trees :)

Everything was perfect: from the kind and warm welcome of our host to the room (we were able to choose as we were the only guests that night), and the amazing breakfast with home made and Sardinian products, we have really enjoyed our one night stay!! We would have loved to stay more and even if the sun was not there, the cozyness of our room and of the living room with the fireplace were much appreciated! The charm of the old house is a plus, the decoration is perfect, and you’ll feel at home as long as you’ll stay here :)

IsraelFor us it was perfect. I presume that people searching for a swimming pool w'ont find it there.
One could see from far that the place was born out of the owners vision. It was evident that they were very much open minded to the likes and dislikes of their guests.

United KingdomPerpetual background music has rather been one of our bugbares during our Sardinian trip. So some Music free moments would be appreciated. Though we did not ask for this and others have said that this wish is easily granted by the hosts.
This is a beautifully loved and restored old building brought to life with full contemporary comforts with an eye to sustainability, and exceptionally warm and helpful hosts. Breakfasts are prepared in the same spirit - with delicious home made croissants and fresh fruit salad setting the vibe for a generous table of choices. A freshly prepared plate for apperitivo in the charmingly tranquil garden was a highlight. Beds big and deeply comfortable. A fantastic place from which to explore the Sardinian interior.

Gian Luca and Barbara were so welcoming and very keen to make me comfortable. I was recommended to stay, however Antica Locanda Lunetta totally exceeded my expectations! The refined, unique yet sympathetic renovation shows in the attention to detail; the garden was delightful; my room was lovely and warm; the breakfast both plentiful and wonderful. My stay at Antica Locanda Lunetta was truly one of my Sardinian highlights, I felt completely at home.. such a lovely finish to my trip.

United StatesNothing. Parking might have been a challenge but, with Agostino’s advice, we had no trouble finding a place to leave our car overnight.
Beautiful old country home, expertly updated and converted into a tasteful, charming inn. Agostino and Barbara are wonderfully welcoming hosts who put their guests at east and strive to provide every comfort. The large courtyard garden has lots of comfortable seating scattered about and is perfect for enjoying an aperitivo or even a takeout dinner. With the excellent soundtrack of jazz standards playing in the background, it’s a great place to unwind. Our room was pretty and comfortable and the shower was great. The Antica Locanda Lunetta also has the distinction of being the descendant of the inn that hosted D. H. Lawrence 100 years ago.
