they were overbooked so they booked Kyrton hotel instead. I was asked for additional payment for 2nd person at the property, without any invoice given. never happened to me this. Not even water was given to us in the room, fridge empty. had to pay for it

Great location, close to bars/restaurants/shops and beach. Large room with high ceilings. Breakfast was included and was a good selection. Staff were friendly and attentive. Nice gardens which would be lovely to use when the weather is a bit better! Never stayed in a 2 star hotel before now, but might try again if this is what to expect!!

The staff was not at the front desk most of the time. Communication in english was difficult. The hotel was outdated.

The price and location were good. Parking was easy and convenient. The family was so nice and offered to stay after checkout to serve us breakfast. Gave us a map of the area.

A huge room with a balcony overlooking the gardens. Well decorated, with everything you need to make the stay comfortable. The bathroom is small but adequate for what you need. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel and both were very good. My gluten free needs were accommodated and I was able to enjoy what was on offer. The grounds are a pleasure and location is quiet but within walking distance to the beach and shopping. The staff are very friendly and helpful they make the experience a pleasure.

We arrived at 09.00 and we were very tired after a long trip for an urgent delivery. The personnel have done everything to make an "early arrival" and keep our breakfast for us. We could sleep well during the day, have a quick swim in the sea and continue our trip. The nearby parking was also very important for us (we have a long vehicle). Thank you! See you next year.

Amazing territory, really good breakfast, well equipped, clean and cosy rooms. the personnel was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed staying in this hotel a lot! I don’t understand why there are only 2 stars. I would say - firm 4 stars! We have travelled all around Italy and we know what to compare with.

Excellent hotel room for the price, with a generous breakfast and beautiful garden. If you do not speak Italian, you may need to be patient when speaking with the hosting staff, whose English is intermediate functional. But they are respectful and have a great positive attitude. I would stay at Hotel Ambra again.

Had a wonderful feast in the garden of a breakfast with fresh croissants, fresh fruit, yogurt, muesli, homemade tarts, cold meats and cheese, juice, fresh coffee and cappuccinos. The large double bedroom had air conditioning and plenty of space. Bicycles for hire for £7 each were great to have access to, as the cycle to Viareggio was hugely fun. The hotel owners who hosted us were friendly and patient in overcoming the language barrier, as I cannot speak Italian. But their English was intermediate functional and I don't believe there were any confusions. Lovely view of the mountains out the window too. A beautiful lush garden with plenty of seating areas. I would happily stay at Hotel Ambra again.

we booked this hotel and was then told to go to another hotel - they placed us in a hotel which had a July offer of 100 euros a night on the internet and YET we had to pay the same amount as this booking - the room was very small with a so called balcony looking over the staircase - everyone could see into our room - it is not what we booked unfortunately. The price should have been reduced or we should have been given a voucher -
