Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

RomaniaJust a suggestion: the Italian breakfast (mostly sweet foods) works fine for 1-2 days, but for tourists staying longer it becomes unhealthy. We would have enjoyed an option between sweet or salty breakfast, especially given the delicious foods in Italy (cheeses, hams, olives).
As shown by responses to previous questions, we were delighted with our stay at Alloggi Barbaria and consider booking again in the future.

This is a very wonderful place. The location is super good. It's in a very quiet area, but also very close to the main touristic places. The staff is awesome, they're very nice and beautiful people. Breakfast is tasty. Coffee is awesome 😍. For his price this guesthouse is really very good value in Venice.

Excellent location, excellent staff. Fausto was an incredible host and answered any question. He also gave us a good tip about visiting a place which was one of the best places we've been. Location is very close to a vaporetto station (under 2 minutes of walking) and is located perfectly to also enjoy a walk in the city. Rooms were very clean.

Located in a very good location, water transport is easily available both to San Marco square and to the islands of Murano and Burano. The most popular sights can also be reached on foot. The staff is very kind. The room was basic but clean and big enough with everything you need. Would definitely stay again.

United StatesThe couple that runs this place are very kind and helpful. They offered detailed information about the area as well as a nice, light breakfast for free. I was not expecting to be buzzed in and go up the stairs as it looked like a residential home but it was my first time visiting Europe and they greeted me at the top of the stairs so it was fine. It was a nice and affordable place to stay!

GreeceThey don’t clean the rooms every day, I’m not sure if it’s their duty or not. Breakfast was minimum, offering just the basics, for example there were no eggs. Besides check in is after 15:00 but check out is until 10:30 & I can’t understand that. Check in & check out must be the same time.
Location. The property is just 10’-15’ walking distance away from the centre & Saint Mark’s square, but the most important is that you avoid crowded areas. Besides vaporetto’s stop is 5’-7’ far away.

Germanyon arrival, it was cold outside and in the room (no heating operationable, about less than 15°), next morning we were offered an electrical radiotor (which made it accepatable), the day after the central heating was turned on (comfortable, but without regulation, since not temperatur controlled thermostats) minor: the instant coffee for the coffee maker was only available on the first day and not replaced, used cups were taken but not replaced

The hotel is in a nice quiet location, near a vaporetta stop (Opitale) and two minutes from a small co-op store. There are several nice restaurants close by, it takes 15 minutes to walk to St Marks Square and is a 43 min boat ride from Marco Polo airport. .

United KingdomThe main bed was a little soft for me (it's a good memory foam mattress). However, there was a harder single bed in the room too, and the owners happily made this up for me, so I had a comfortable stay - just noting for info for people like me who need a harder bed.
We've stayed here before a few years back and really liked it. It's a B&B style hotel with decent sized comfortable rooms. Rooms have a fridge and a safe. The breakfast is more than adequate for a morning of walking around the most beautiful city in the world. People running it are lovely. It's a great area to stay. It's up in the north of Castello, easy to reach and find from the airport Alilaguna, and a nice base for exploring the quieter areas of Castello near San Francisco Della Vigna.Turn the other way and you're right on top of Zanipolo and then over the bridge towards the Miracoli. Some great bars and restaurants nearby too. Great value for money.
