Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt would have been nice to have a lounge to sit for a late night beaverage, as the pool bar closed at 6.30pm.
The size of the room was excellent, very comfortable. Although breakfast was supplied, we still thought having cooking facilties was a real bonus. We ate in a few nights as it was raining.

NetherlandsThe breakfast could use a little variation for longer stays. The poolbar/restaurant has very little food options and price/quality are way off.

United KingdomThe trams do run from early in the morning until late at night and as our room faced the main street we were aware of them thundering past. This didn't bother us as we live near an airport and are used to some noise.
The Aldovandi Suites are situated a 20 minute walk through the Villa Borghese Park to the city gates or a 15 minute walk from Flaminio Metro Station. Buses and trams pass directly past the hotel but, not directly into the city centre. Taxis appear to be plentiful. Our room was located on the ground floor facing the main street. The room was large and spacious, it had a kitchenette and was well equipped with enough cutlery, crockery and utensils for our stay. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The bathroom was modern, bath with overhead shower. The room was cleaned and towels were changed everyday. The pool area is quite large with plenty of sunbeds. The pool bar serves snacks but, we didn't sample these. The breakfast offered an excellent selection of pastries, fruit, juices, continental meats and cheeses, tea and coffee. There are also a limited selection of hot food options available The staff we met were courteous and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

EstoniaThey had lost our key room upon our arrival. Parking a car nearby can be a real challenge. The bathroom needs renovation and the water pressure is quite low for a nice shower.
What best to stay by the pool in the middle of Rome when the temperature is so high that it discourages you from visiting the Coliseum? The room was fine, the breakfast excellent, the pool very welcoming with a nice bar by its side. It was a nice way to stay in Rome with scorching temperature and not to have to hide in a room with AC all day...

United StatesThe property is a little old in its decor, but aside from that, I have nothing bad to say. We loved our stay here.
This is a great choice for a visit to Rome. The rooms were very big; my kids were so excited that they had their own room and (twin) beds. It's like an apartment so you have a kitchen, which is nice for a longer stay, and there is a separate entrance so you can enter through the hotel lobby or through your own private door. Our suite had a cute little patio that you could exit to get to the pool. The pool was amazing; after a hot day of touring around Rome, it was wonderful to be able to cool off in the pool before dinner. The breakfast was standard hotel breakfast fare but was plenty of food. The staff were nice and helpful. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk to the gates of Rome, but it is through a beautiful park, which made the walk a little easier as one of the few places in Rome with trees and some shade. It's also right next to the zoo and the modern art museum so there are activities nearby as well if you don't feel like walking as much one day. When we were there, there was a pop up bar with a DJ that operated in the park across the street from the art museum, which was a fun addition for a quick drink before heading back to the hotel.

United KingdomI chose this as it had a pool, but it is quite a walk to the metro. There is a bus then 5-10 minute walk to get to a metro from outside the hotel, but a taxi would have cost approx €40 from the centre to the hotel. We did walk tge first day from the hotel to metro, but in 38° not the best idea, but the weather is certainly nothing to do with the hotel.
The welcome. The rooms were beautiful and the pool was large enough. The zoo and Bioparc was beautiful and basically over the road.

United KingdomThe only thing slight drawback is the location. Although you can use public transport or get a taxi in to town. I’m not saying the location is bad it’s just slightly out of the city. Was fine for us as we wanted somewhere in between the city and stadio olympico.
Great to have the separate area for my child to sleep rather than share our room!. Large room, high ceilings plus kitchen area. Excellent swimming pool and great to have breakfast included!

United KingdomFood at the bar was very poor. The pool man was strict - we were told not to jump into the pool (which is very very deep). The sign said no diving... But apparently feet first jumps in 35 degrees heat are also forbidden.
So clean, wonderful room with plenty of space and very comfy bed. Service was very good. Pool area is managed well and felt safe and calm. The location is fab.

United KingdomIt is a fairly long walk into the city centre but ok if you are fairly fit and you can get a taxi for a reasonable price.
A peaceful and friendly retreat from the bustle of Rome. Staff were amazing. We had a spacious suite with kitchen, table and plenty of room. The swimming pool was lovely with lots of trees around. We walked into most of the tourist attractions through the park. It was a good walk but made more pleasant by the pretty gardens of the park. There are some good places to eat locally around the hotel, about 10 minutes walk. The area is mainly residential. There are also some supermarkets if you want to cater for yourself. Breakfast was excellent.

United KingdomBus links not good as always changes recommended and times similar to walking to main city ..invariably around 45 mins. Although walk was nice through Borghese Gardens and often used taxis.
Pre arrival contact was good and clear and the hotel sorted out airport transfer which was more economical than online. All went well there. Staff very friendly and professional. Room was spacious suite and good facilities. Breakfast lovely in a nice setting. Used the pool once. Was a quiet and very nice neighbourhood, but at a cost- see below. Taxis good and all metered for travel around

LithuaniaNo major CONS. Just a few small notes to be shared: a bit small variety of breakfast with no differences of hot meals within all three mornings. At least one small bottle of water could be left in the room for free - that's essential need for us, humans and doesn't cost much. Most important - Please treat your own staff equally as guest: if they use elevator - let them proceed to their destination. We can wait for it to come back. Cleaning personnel doesn't need to step out with all the heavy racks just to SERVE us. We saw other guest and understand where this comes from, but slavery is far far back in history books. These cheap pocket "Lords" can act their hierarchies in their own houses :) All of your staff is doing excellent work!
Very spacious and clean room with all necessary facilities. Location is quiet even being close to busy street and local bus stop is right in front of the hotel (all public transport is promt, simple to use and very cheap comparing to other big cities). Breakfast was tasty. Staff extremely polite and willing to help. Good shower pressure. There's also small kitchenette which was very convenient after binging Italian treats. Definitely would come back and highly recommend to others. Keep it up!

United KingdomThought the swimming pool might open two days before we left but it didn’t and the outside seating area was closed off. Air conditioning, advertised at the time of booking wasn’t available, but I think this was out of the hotel’s control. Rome regulated. Kitchenette fixtures and fittings were showing their age and could do with a update. The only mirror was in the bathroom. One in the living area would have been useful.
Comfortable room with nice bathroom. Good breakfasts. Friendly and helpful staff. Lovely old building which was spotlessly clean. Overall, a good stay in the location we wanted.
