Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SwedenA cozy and calm gem! Owner Roberto is very kind and welcoming. Lake or garden views from the balcony (we had a bit of both). A few steps fown the garden path and you're by the lake. Super close to the ferries, and very easy to go to Monteisola. An older inn with 60s vibes but clean and full of charm. And cool even during hot wheather. Great parking. Would recommend you to get your own breakfast food, there is a fridge in each room!

United KingdomThe bathroom could do with a little upgrading.
The situation and view from the balcony was amazing. It was very convenient as it was close to the station but it was also very quiet. The departure point for the island was only a few minutes away. The hotel is characterful and quite unique. The room was spacious and the breakfast was excellent; the best we had during our week in the area. We asked for and were given a recommendation for a local restaurant which was also excellent.

United StatesThe bathroom had a couple of issues including a 'sewer smell' coming from the shower drain. The plastic toilet seat w/ lid was broken and a little shelf below the mirror was worn and tilted down so that items placed on it could roll off. No Wi-Fi, but this was known previous to making my reservations.
The Location of the hotel was exceptional for access to transportation (train and ferry) around Lago d'Iseo. The room was large and had a beautiful view of the lake and the bed was very comfortable. Despite the 'worn appearance' of the bathroom the facilities were very clean. The owner was extremely nice and carried my luggage up to the train station for me after I had injured my hand.

NorwayThe room did not have air condition (but a standing ventilator, which would have been very nice due to the warm weather (also during night). The toilet seat was also quite loose.
The location was absolutely fantastic and our room had a beautiful balcony with a view on the lake. The location of the hotel was also right in front of one of the docs where you could take a ferry to Monte Isola and other places by the lake. It was overall very good value for the money!

United KingdomThe restaurant is still closed although it was not a problem as we ate on the island waterside
Located close to the lake and a short walk along the lake front to the ferry. The view from the top floor balcony was superb. The view from the room below was semi obsured by the height of the trees in the garden. The owner was extremely nice and helpful. He made us English tea to sit in the garden, gave my wide supercar a special place to park and left the gates unlocked to we could leave very early. Absolutely superb!

AustraliaNo wifi - the views of the lake are amazing so you don't really need the internet but it would be good to have it available.
The Albergo Ristorante Aquila is a very rustic hotel on the shores of Lake Iseo. When I stayed the restaurant was closed and there was no breakfast available. The views of the lake from the second floor rooms are spectacular, but be aware there is no elevator. The hotel itself appears to have been built in the 1950s and the room's styling and bathroom date from that period, which did not bother me but may concern some guests. A typical Italian hotel from that era. There is free on site parking and the ferry wharf is right outside the hotel. Reasonable rates for the summer period and a warm welcome from the staff.

A wonderful small charming retro hotel. The room is big and was simply furnished, but we had everything we needed incl. fridge, ventilator and hair dryer if needed. Our room had a balcony with the most fantastic view of Monte Isola, the lake and surrounding mountains. The view was just spectacular. The room was cleaned every day and the towels were changed every day. The water pressure of the shower was amazing. The beds are comfy. The hotel is dated, but it’s authentic, which adds to its charm. It’s a short walk to reach the piers – pier 1 to Peschiera, Monte Isola is about 3 mins away and pier 2 to all other destinations around the lake is at the end of the garden of the hotel. The train station is about 5 mins away. There is a small supermarket opposite the hotel. When you stay here, you’re perfectly located. Service is very friendly and relaxed. Guests arriving by vehicle have access to parking. The garden is lush and green and peaceful. So happy we could have breakfast at the hotel, which had a good selection of bread rolls, brioches, fruits, yogurts, juices, jam, honey along with freshly cut prosciutto (ham) and cheese. We could choose between coffee, tea, cappuccino or espresso. The hotel manager is very friendly and helpful with a warm welcome. The manager took good care of all guests. We will definitely return.

AustriaEverything was perfect!
What a wonderful place! Definitely not a 1 star place but much better. No, it is no fancy boutique hotel, but a charming and authentic Italian hotel. The view from the balcony is more than amazing, truly spectacular, and the house is just steps away from the lake. The room, no, the entire house, is spotless clean, parking is on site and free. The garden is lush, green, leafy - really idyllic and peaceful. The breakfast is very good, sweet and salty, juices, brioches, jam, fruits, ... and you are offered capucchino or espresso along freshly cut prosciutto and cheese. The owner is a lovely gentleman - easy going, friendly and super helpful, with a warm welcome. You really feel at home. We will definitely return!

ItalyI knew I was booking a 1 star hotel and everything was good/as expected overall. The beds were truly bad though, hard as a rock. I'm young and fit and sleep well in general but my hip was actually sore when I woke up the next morning because the bed was so hard :/ The owner/host was polite but not very helpful. The breakfast was lackluster. NO WIFI in your room. Wifi only accessible in the lobby area.
Beautiful spot, simple but spacious room, gorgeous views of the lake from the balcony

United StatesThe bed in my room could improve a bit. It sinks in the middle. However the value, location, and charm of the hotel outweigh the flaw of the bed by much.
The location of the hotel is probably one of the best in Sulzano. The manager on site is a wonderful gentleman who does everything around the hotel and takes good care of the guests.

EstoniaBathroom shower was leaking a bit water to the floor, but nothing that bad. Perhaps I used the showerhead wrong and that is why it splashed a bit to the ground. Otherwise all the rest was good.
Breakfast from the host was quite good (Italian so it can be quite sweet). The room was like from the old soviet time, but it was quite well preserved and the night was great. Altough what made this place special was the Balcony view! Amazing and near the property you can easily take a swim or go to the next island. Everything went well and I would recommend it - felt safe and secure!
