A very beautiful, antique, well-taken care of hotel. Truly speaking the hotel as a whole was very clean and good looking, the rooms as well were cleaned daily and there were no problems. The staff were very nice and helpful, and understanding when we had a difficult situation.

The comments contained so many complaints about the shower. I took a shower, yes the floor and the toilet got wet, but everything was dry in an hour because there was a drain. The staff was very helpful and found a secure place for my bike. Very good value.

Lovely hotel with free public parking nearby and easy access to both Florence and Lucca. The staff at the reception was also very hospitable and helpful.

It was the best hotel/hostel I've stayed at in my whole life. The interior had so much personality and character. The manager was extremely helpful and had little maps prepared where he would mark the things we asked about like a restaurant, pharmacy or atm. It was a small and cosy place with a warm atmosphere. Always a couple of senior Italians in the lobby or outside who was happy to chat with us despite our broken Italian but the manager showed us how to us Google translate which made it easier! It was a 10 min walk from the station, 10 min walk to the funicolare, 10 min to all the spas. Everything was within 10min and there was a restaurant and a pizzeria just across the street. This is the perfect place if you want a simple and wonderful place to stay.

Booking.com did not advise that the restaurant was closed for the season and that was a good draw for guests. However there were many restaurants close by.

The breakfast was varied and plentiful. Pastries, bread, croissants and various meats and cheeses. Plus fresh fruit . The manager, Vincenzo, was very helpful and available for advice. He used his Google translate to communicate with us … sometimes with strange results!

It's an older hotel, so some of the facilities aren't new, but that's all part of the charm.

Location: really central. Across the hotel is a small bar that does cheap lunches. And everything else is a within a 10 minute walk. Breakfast: Breakfast was a selection of cereal, yogurts, fruit, cake, cold meats, cheeses, breads and more. When I told the host that I was vegetarian, they made sure to make me a little salad everyday as I wasn't getting any meats, which I thought was really sweet. Wifi: Wifi was really good for making video calls and such. The real highlight though, is the hospitality of the hosts. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable.

Beds were awful and soft flimsy frames. Thin pillows, we were really cild during the night, no extra blanlets in the room. Very skimpy breakfast.

The toilet and shower were in the same room, so after shower all the room was remaining wet which is extremely uncomfortable as you can’t enter anymore. May be they could leave some flip-flops for that. Bed didn’t have a proper blanket. It was only a plaid, it felt weird. I didn’t find information about WiFi password. Not as I really needed it so I didn’t ask, but in case you need it make sure it works.

The staff was very helpful and always available. They gave me the iron when I needed it and gave a good advice about a place to eat. Location was also close by the center and to the station, about 10 minutes walking. There is a spacious relaxing area at the first floor.

There are no croissants for breakfast, which is unimaginable for Italy, breakfast without croissants, there is not even bread, but there are two pastries. very bad breakfast.
