The shower was incorporated with the bath tub and there was no hook to hang the shower head you had to hold it with your hand, which made it very awkward to shower.

Unfortunately we were only there for a short time arrived at 5pm and left 8am the next morning to catch the train. However the room was very clean comfortable and spacious, very close to the train station, Very good breakfast with lots of variety. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Amazing location, every historical monument/ museum is just a 10-15 min walk away. The railway station is less than 200m away, we literally walked with our luggage for 5 mins and we were at our hotel. The interior design is amazing and befitting the city of Florence with ornate doors, ceilings, and furniture. Rooms are spacious, clean, and well designed. Breakfast is simple yet elegant. Staff is very helpful and kind.

Shower was outdated . I wasn’t impressed with some staff while having breakfast. Asked for tea and when brought to the table the server returned and almost threw a cup at me, no saucer and no milk. They didn’t have jugs for the milk so had to get a glass and get some from the buffet ourselves. I don’t expect a lot of attention from Italian staff if you aren’t Italian or wearing designer labels but common courtesy in a supposedly 4star hotel is expected.

Got terribly bitten by mosquitos in the room. The street outside the hotel was very dirty.

The room had a large and very comfy bed. The terrace from the room got the sun in the afternoon and was lovely to sit out on. The breakfast room was very good. Nice linen on the tables. Excellent selection buffet breakfast. Very convenient for the train station and the sights of Florence.

The hotel was ideally placed, close to the railway station, but within walking distance of all the sights. The room was comfortable and decorated in an elegant and traditional way. The facilities were good and the breakfast was excellent. I would definitely use this hotel again and would recommend it to friends.

We were assigned a corner room which was beautiful and had a nice balcony. Breakfast was exceptional daily. Staff very helpful. Great location for walking to sites/museums/restaurants. Quick/easy walk from the train station.

I think the hotel manager should at least have apologised for the bathroom being non operational but we received none. The technician/ greeting man advised they would look into it the next day as it was too late. I advise the hotel to have control checks prior check in to make sure the facilities are operational as not all customers are easy going!

I would have given top rating if the bathroom in our room was operational. Luckily we had a family room and used the bathroom in the other room, otherwise not sure what we would have done as only stayed for one night. The rooms were precious, gorgeous decorations and we loved it. The location was great as well and the breakfast was reach with lots of options.

Staff. We had to get from Florence to Pisa. We had checked out. Found out at the rail station There was a railroad strike. Walked back to the hotel. They booked us buses to Pisa airport. Totally stress free. Food fabulous also. Location couldn’t be better. Highly recommend

Sorry to say eggs were a bit cold both times I went for breakfast, but otherwise breakfast was very good (lovely almond croissants!). Wifi is a bit hit and miss I found. Also it would be nice to have English-language BBC news channel available.

Comfortable bed, nice big room with high ceilings, nice bathroom with long deep tub. Lovely bar downstairs which feels like an elegant sitting room. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially attentive to our mother who is in a wheelchair. I think it's good value for the location, it's 15 minutes walk to the Duomo, Uffizi etc.

Our friends are vegan and there was very little choice at breakfast. When we spoke to reception we were told that additional items would be added the following day, but never were. We constantly had to ask for vegan alternatives and no real effort was made to expand the food choices.

Location was so convenient, few minutes walk from the station when you want to get rid of your luggage as soon as possible. The hotel was clean and kind of nostalgic with timber decorations and warm smell of leather. All that said, staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also very good.
