Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IsraelThe house does not have a lift, so we had to carry the suitcase by ourselves one floor. (We know it was mentioned before so it wasn’t a bad surprise at all).
The owner was very kind, he answered all of our questions at any time by WhatsApp, he ordered a taxi for us whenever we wanted. The location is near a pretty park that was nice to walk by, and 20 minutes walk (if you are slow) from the Main Street with all the shops, which is very convenient and nice. The place itself is big, has a shared kitchen where you may cook to yourself, that also includes coffee and biscuits as you may like. We were 4 people and got a room with a balcony, big clean and pretty shower, comfortable beds, a body mirror, table and air conditioning.

RomaniaWhile our stay was very pleasant, there was one minor inconvenience. The walls are quite thin, so you can hear other guests arriving, leaving, and moving about in the nearby rooms. This did cause some noise, particularly late at night and early in the morning. However, most guests were mindful, and using earphones helped to minimize the disturbance.
We had a lovely stay at this hotel! The room was spacious and had an adjustable AC, which was great for customizing the temperature. While the room was a bit sparse and could benefit from some additional decor like paintings or rugs (to reduce the echo and break the all-white aspect), it was still very comfortable. The bed was large and cozy, though it did creak a bit when moving around. The window had thin curtains, but the automatic blinds operated with a button were great for privacy. The bathroom was well-equipped with everything you might need: a shower, a toilet, a sink and a large mirror, a bidet, towels, shower gel, shampoo, body cream, soap, and a hairdryer. The shower could be used both as rain-style and handheld, and the water pressure was great. The bathroom window had a blur filter for privacy and a white curtain, which could use some ironing to look a bit better. However, it also had outside blinds for added privacy. Both the room and bathroom were very clean, and since we only used the room to shower and sleep, we didn't need additional cleaning during our stay. One thing to note is that the walls were a bit thin, so we could hear noise from neighboring rooms, but with earphones, it wasn't a major issue. The other guests were generally considerate, so noise was mostly minimal and only occurred late at night and early in the morning. There was a kitchen available, but we didn't have a chance to use it since we were out exploring the cities early each day. The host was incredibly helpful and friendly, providing detailed directions before our stay, recommendations for things to do in Pisa, and restaurant suggestions. The clear instructions for accessing the key and finding our room were very helpful, and the bottle of red wine was a hospitable touch. Overall, it was great value for the money, with a great location, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and friendly place to stay in Pisa.

JapanI have no negative thoughts on the room.
The room was great, the air conditioner helps during the hot Italian evenings. The TV is a smartTV so you can stream stuff on it. The wine was pretty good, free is free and that's all that matters. WiFi was pretty good too. The shower was great and the bathroom facilities were clean and ready to go. Bed was comfortable but was 2 twin beds pushed together. So be careful about sleeping smack dab in the middle otherwise very functional. Refrigerator has bins detailing which items belong to which room, which I thought was an excellent touch. The windows allow a lot of sunlight in which was very well appreciated.

United KingdomI would highly recommend staying here when visiting Pisa. Our apartment was clean, comfortable and well presented. The apartment was well equipped with everything you would need. Great communication with the host providing us with all the necessary information to locate the apartment and for easy self check-in as well as great recommendations for places to eat and places to visit. Location of the property was good, with all sights easily walkable. The bottle of wine in our room and snacks were a lovely touch and really appreciated.

CyprusWe didn't have any issues that could lower our rating. The Tower of Pisa and the cathedral are not very close to get on foot, although maybe it seemed so to us, because we got a little lost. In the evening, mosquitoes flew into the room, but mosquito killer, which was available in the room, perfectly coped with them and they did not interfere with our sleep.
The hotel is very nice. The hall and stairs to the room may give the wrong first impression as if it were a cheap hostel, but the room itself is excellent. The room had, everything you could possibly need. The gift of a bottle of house wine was nice. The kitchen is equipped and has breakfast in it. Although we arrived way ahead of check-in time and our room was not ready, we were allowed to leave our belongings in it and given a key card to access it. Overall we very much enjoyed everything, It was a good choice for us

SerbiaThere is no such a thing
We enjoyed our stay at Delfo so much. It's within walking distance to Leaning Tower and to public transport if you wanna go somewhere else. Also if you wanna explore the city by foot its easy from Delfo. Near there is a bug market, and you can use the kitchen (which has everything that you need for a short stay - glasses, pans, pots, microwave...). And there is also wine for welcome which I appreciate a lot. We had a balcony as well for us that was very important.

The apartment is located in a nice walking distance from the historical centre, you can easily park your car in the streets around. Francesco the owner is a sympathetic and very helpful guy, he gave us all the detailed information needed in advance. The flat is clean and nice, the shared kitchen is well equipped, and the extra food equipment (toasts, jam/nutella and biscuits) made my teenage sons quite happy after our arrival 😁

PolandMinuses, hhm, ok - no elevator (if you come with heavy luggage) and you would most likely prefer to have more than just one chair in a 3-person room, especially when the space allows it. Yet, overall this is an absolute 10/10. This place rocks!
Superb location, just outside the old town historical walls and five minutes walk to the centre. Delicious pizzeria Nika just around the corner (pizza Pisana has changed the way I've viewed pizza so far). Exceptional customer care. Detailed instructions of how to enter the facility (with pictures) and how to get there from the airport were texted to us prior to our coming (indeed it's same cost or even cheaper by taxi, abt 16 eur). Great thing is also ordering a taxi by sms/whatsapp, when you're there (see your city map in the room). Free bottle of wine and local crisps welcomes you every day in your room (!!!). No breakfast option, but with a large supermarket around and access to a fully equipped kitchen and (shared) fridge, you can make it even better.
