Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. GermanyAlthough the lakeview is incredible, as many others mentioned before, the hotel is directly at the street level and it is very noisy. Every motorbike, truck and car can be heard and many times they go fast and loud. Even with the window closed we woke up during the night and early in the morning.
The room was nice as we had the lakeview room with a little balcony. Room and bathroom were spacious. Bed mattress was comfortable, it may be too soft for other people, but we liked it. Good breakfast in the morning inside or outside terrace. Parking at the hotel was no problem.

Very clean, well equipped, good bed linen and fabulous view of the lake. Very welcoming staff, bikes available free of charge, which you could take on the ferry to the Island. Great location to tour the lake and near Iseo town, which has plenty restaurants and shops

United KingdomThere is not much I didn't like. A bit too much road noise. An extractor fan in the bathroom would be nice, and the mattress was not the most comfortable.
The pictures on booking.com showed a wonderful location and bright and airy room at a reasonable price. What we got exceeded expectations. The location 'is to die for' right on the banks of Lago d'Iseo. The staff are very helpful and there is a choice of great a la carte food or pizza in the restaurant. One evening when we arrived back from a long and tiring drive, the staff recognised that we do with an extra large drink.

GermanyWhen we arrived, we were almost "ignored" from the staff. When I wanted to check in in english, the staff ran away without a word ....... then a friendly person arrived where we could check in. Breakfast in the morning was not ready at 8:30am, but instead of a "sorry", we were treated very unfriendly as it would be our fault. At 8:45am the (nice) Breakfast was ready. The waiter (treating us very unfriendy before) was sitting outside , having a break with a collegue and complaining loudly about different topics.
The location of "A Lago" is great and the rooms are nice. We took a Pizza dinner in the evening and the food was good. Nice location but with (partly) VERY unfriendly staff.

United KingdomThere was a road between hotel and lake and it was a bit noisy until 10.30ish. Upon arrival, we had to wait for someone to come on duty to let us in, we did say we would be there between a certain time but due to car hire company were delayed. It would be helpful to explain to guest that if you do not arrive when stated there would be no one there until 5.30pm Breakfast could have been better.

GermanyVery very poor breakfast, they have packages of food from which you take your bread and it's absolutely not an Hygienic method, considering there is still the pandemic on going. The room was not bad BUT absolutely not clean and you will hear a lot of noise coming from the cars on the street. The food at the restaurant was not so great beside from the pizza which I would rate 7 out of 10. The bed is not comfortable, the mattress is too soft. The value for money is not that great. Unfortunately I would not recommend this place, they have a great potential but at the moment I would choose another accommodation.
The position was good, you have a good lake view and the pizza at the restaurant was good.
