There is some (understandable) noise from the piazza directly below but it was not overly disruptive. The location and the hosts more than make up for it.

A perfect location and a lovely property in Florence. Our accommodations were very comfortable and spacious for our family. Very clean, with thoughtful touches provided by the hosts such as coffee, cookies, and extra towels to make our visit special. Great view from our windows, looking directly at the Duomo and Cathedral. We did some fun people watching during the day and were able to walk to any restaurants or shops in just a few minutes. Loved it!

Unfortunately we assumed a B & B included breakfast until we were informed otherwise when we got there...there were no options when booking or spelt out otherwise that breakfast wasn't included.

The location was excellent. The room size was great, especially with 2 big bags. Very helpful staff.

We thought there would be breakfast based off the booking, but there wasn’t. Other than that everything was great!

We loved the room and the host! It was very easy to walk to from the train station and to check in. We had a view of the Duomo which was spectacular! Because you’re in the main square it’s busy with tourists, but the way the room was arranged the bedroom was quiet.

Nothing, it was great.

We were given good clear directions to the property and found it very easily. The lady was there when we arrived and was very friendly and welcoming, she gave us recommendations for good local restaurants and provided a contact number in case of any issues. The room was very clean, a good size for Italy and it felt extremely safe. We requested a room with a view of the Duomo and it did not disappoint, it was extraordinary.

The lift (elevator) was primarily used for the luggages. Our room was on the 3rd floor so after a long day of walking, sometimes it was difficult going upstairs but on a hindsight, it was actually good for us since my husband & I ate so much lol! The stairs was like an exercise for us! And to be clear, there were not many stairs for every floor so it not bad at all!

The location was perfect -it was close to all the restaurants, stores & the Mercato Centrale. Our view outside the window was the Duomo, and it was just so beautiful & breathtaking! Giuliana, our host, was amazing! She was accessible & responsive to requests, questions, & any needs we had during our stay. We loved the “vintage” feel of the room - it made us feel at home & we are thankful for the hospitality!

Everything was great. Just note that it’s on the older side and has the occasional musty smell. Nothing terrible though!

In the heart of the duomo square. It was bustling every night until the early hours but you really don’t hear anything! We had the perfect view of the duomo. About 10 mins to the train station and very central to get to places. Gulianna was super nice and helpful. Air conditioning was a life saver during the summer.

Bit of a climb up the stairs but no biggie.

Amazing location. Window opening out over the square and a view of the cathedral. Could not have been lovelier. Lots of activity below which didn’t bother us but might others. The host was charming and moved us into the Cathedral view room which is higher and better I think so book that if you can. It’s not modern but the building is hundreds of years old. It’s amazing. Loved our stay there.

Absolutely the most fabulous location, right on the Duomo square with views of the Cathedral and Baptistry from the sitting room, in a stunningly preserved 16thC home. Well appointed, large apartments with separate sitting room living area and modern bathroom, and location of the bedroom at the rear away from the Duomo square which made the bedroom comfortable and quiet. Excellent air-conditioning throughout Wonderful hosts who have provided many home comforts, including minibar fridge, kettle with tea, coffee and some snacks as breakfast service was not included. Our hostess Giuliana was warm, welcoming and very helpful in her orientation of the apartment, provided a map with Florence attractions and suggestions for local authentic Italian dinner Trattoria options, as well as advice for breakfast and direction to the local covered food market.

Only a small thing - The pastries at breakfast were a little stale. Coffee and fruit were lovely though and so nice to have on the wonderful balcony.

Carrying luggage up stairs but that would not bother everyone, the building was built in 1632 so the lift they have kindly managed to install is mostly to assist with luggage but starts at reception floor. It didnt put any damper on our stay at all but bears mentioning to help others.

The best room view we have ever had! The room really does look exactly like the pictures on the website. We thought it couldnt be that close! The room was clean, had everything you needed, quiet - even though you were above the main square, the windows are clearly new lol. The staff, Guilianna, was so helpful and accomodating, made the best dinner reservation at a nearby osteria, which did not disappoint. The location of the hotel was perfect as every major sighseeing location was within walking distance. Florence is very compact and there was no need for taxis or public transport (only once when we decided to go to viewing point at Palazzo de Michelangelo). Our restaurant recommendations - Da Guido for rustic and hearty food at very reasonable rates. Il Vezzo for gastro delights and a special occasion. Osteria d'olio for great lunch options. Osteria Novello for coffee and pastry to start your day.

The host Giuliana was super welcoming. She gave us parking recommendations since the property is right in the Center without parking. She also gave us a map and marked spots worth going. Overall she was just super helpful. The location of the hotel is great and you can easily walk everywhere.

Loved everything.

What a lovely place to stay. First of all, I loved the layout of the place (Verde). The window that overlooks the square and the cathedral (what a view) is in the living room, whereas the bedroom is in the back. So you have the view and the feeling of being right in the middle of things, but at the same time can get a good night's sleep without the noise. The location was perfect, close to everything. The shower deserves a special mention. If it were possible to fall in love with a shower, that would be the one! It had 4 settings, including the "rain" not just from above but also from the side. The breakfast had a lot of variety and was freshly prepared. But the best part were the hosts! So kind and helpful! Even when I had unusual questions ("Where can I buy an Italian toy for my dog?"), they helped me find solutions. They arranged a taxi to take us to the airport early in the morning, gave us breakfast earlier on the day when we had a morning tour... I could go on and on. I'm returning to Florence over a year from now and will keep checking when rooms open up for the fall of next year!
