We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

United StatesThe hostel doesn't have a kitchen. They are clear and upfront, and I'd still stay here again when I come back.
The hostel has a great atmosphere because the owner offers free wine in the evenings. I met everyone else who came through and always had people to go out to dinner with.

IrelandSuch a lovely welcome from Antonio and his brother. 2 mins walk from train station. Facilities were both excellent and spotlessly clean. Having spent 2 nights in hostels while walking the Cinque Terre, Antonio's place was by far the most friendliest and convenient to train station and city centre. Had one day in La Spezia and after strolling down the main busy thoroughfare, I found the marina with all its amazing yachts and settled there in a lovely little quiet cafe enjoying a glass of vino and some fabulous sunshine. Would definitely recommend backpackers city, a lovely funky and friendly hostel !!!!

Absolutely wonderful hostel with a great atmosphere! I felt at home right away. It's very close to the train station in Laz Spezia. Staff were all very nice and helpful. The hostel has a bar. The included breakfast is tasty and plentiful. The room and bathroom are modern.

RomaniaReally nice hostel, clean, comfy and the owners and staff are super friendly and helpful, they give you great advices on what to see and the best way to do it. The location is quite ideal, the train station is 2 minutes away and the central area with restaurants and cafes is very close. The breakfast was also really good. Also, the terrace is beautiful, loved spending time there. Definitely recommend this place

MaltaThe hostel more than exceeded expectations. The hosts are extremely welcoming and make everyone feel at home and are full of recommendations and tips to best enjoy your vacation. The breakfast is quite good to start the day and the location is just perfect. A minute's away from La Spezia centrale and on the main road of the Historical centre. Additionally the hostel has a bar of its own and its perfect for the odd snack or to wind down with exceptionally priced Spritz. Really, you can't go wrong with this one.

IrelandThe doors were a bit noisy with a push mechanism from the outside so you can't turn the handle to open it quietly. The communal areas close at 10pm which leaves only the bedrooms for socialising in the hostel. Would be nice if part of it stayed open later for an area to relax and have a drink at te in-house bar. Some more storage options in the bathrooms would be appreciated , even some high shelves on the wall in the showers to store your belongings. Bathrooms are a bit narrow to be changing rooms as well.
Staff were excellent, particularly Antonio who gave me good advice on what to do. Very friendly and welcoming. Bathrooms were of high quality.

This was definitely the nicest hostel we have ever stayed in. The rooms were super clean, the beds were comfortable, and it was soo close to the train station. Above all, the staff were amazing! They made breakfast for us each day, were so friendly and helpful, and gave us lots of good tips. Francesco in particular was amazing!!

I had such a greeat stay at this hostel! It was my first hostel experience and the two brothers /owners were just amazing. They make sure you are feeling good, the outside area is a cozy place to have breakfast and to chill. The hostel was very near to the railway and to the town. I met such a lovely bunch of people and made new friends... the rooms are clean and felt safe with my stuff. There are rules you have to follow for example wearing mask outside of your room and leaving shoes in front of the flat. But it is not disturbing the stay at all.
