Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Saudi Arabia-don't recommend it if you have a car because of the 30€/ day parking near the Hotel + traffic lights design at the cross section next to the hotel is too retarded -only one elevator for the 6th floor
-VERY CLEAN -Overwhelmingly Friendly staff -Great atmosphere -Great View

United KingdomCan't think of anything I disliked.
Amazingly clean, comfy beds, great location, stylish, well designed rooms, friendly staff, great facilities, fantastic food. This is the best hotel I've stayed in. If only all hotels were like this! The rooms were spacious and well lit. There were nice little touches about the place, including a great selection of books everywhere and a range of cosy seating areas. The rooms are sound-proofed too! The rooftop bar and pool was closed as it was winter, but they let us have a look, and the views were spectacular! We will return! Would recommend to all.

IrelandThe weather was unseasonably weather so the room was quite warm. We had balcony door tho that we were able to open. The scrambled eggs at breakfast were watery, which wasn’t very appetizing (though there were plenty of other options.
Modern and comfortable hotel. Very trendy and nice rooms with good bathroom. Good breakfast buffet.

United KingdomUnfortunately my room had a bathroom that kept flooding which I’ve reported and hopefully will be remedied. Also it was a little bit of a challenge to try and find a table for breakfast in the morning as it was very popular with not enough tables to accommodate the number of guests
I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel. The place has a modern, contemporary vibe, and it’s clear a lot of thought has gone into making sure you have the best experience. The courtyard garden was lovely, and the rooftop terrace offered a charming spot with a fantastic view of Milan. The location couldn’t have been better! It’s in one of the best districts if you enjoy the vibrancy of Milan and want to immerse yourself in its culture. I kept my window open in the evening to soak in the atmosphere—it really felt like I was right in the heart of the action. Plus, there are plenty of great restaurants and boutiques just a stone's throw from the hotel. A special shout-out to Lydia, the front office manager. She was wonderful and incredibly attentive, truly an asset to the hotel. Another gentleman who checked me in was equally attentive and quick with any resolutions I needed. The staff here are amazing and really add to the warmth of the place. They made me feel immediately at home. I’d highly recommend staying at 21 House of Stories.

EstoniaBit overpriced, but still demanding 100 EUR deposit at check-in, though room was fully prepaid, never seen before in Italy. Could not visit rooftop with pool and pub, access poorly signed, and found by accident, but closed.
Brand new modern hotel, excellent location on the Navigli, very close to the main Pub/Restaurant area. Piazza del Duomo and central Milan is also easy to reach on foot in about 25 mins or by tram, stop at next street around corner . The Hotel is also rather close to Porta Genova Main Station and the Metro line. Staff are super helpful and friendly. Rooms are very clean and quiet. Great buffet breakfast.

United KingdomOnly slight downside would be that the hotel must be near a bar/ nightclub and so it was pretty noisy at night. Earplugs were provided by the hotel but I just happened to be awake as I wasn’t feeling so good that night, so is hard to say how much the noise disturbed my sleep. It also could just have been the location of our room that meant it was noisier. Other than that the stay was brilliant and I would still very much recommend.
Absolutely beautiful hotel looking on to the canal. The room we had was beautiful with loads of space and a lovely wee welcome pack of goodies. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great too, loads of options and a lot of homemade things too such as the yogurt which was fab. Highly recommend staying here if you are in Milan!
