“This place was fabulous, even in January when there was a cold North wind. On other days it was warm and sunny. Its location is perfect - right on the main piazza, with owls hooting at night. The village has everything you could want. Pharmacy, bar, grocer, butcher, fish monger, baker, dry cleaners, post office museum, library.
The house has two large rooms and a kitchen off, its beautifully restored with excellent Italian design and taste in traditions of the local area. A great roof terrace from which you can watch the goings-on in the piazza.
All the people I met in the streets and shops were incredibly nice and friendly, with a relaxed disposition.
There is a weekly market as well as a van each evening selling crepes and another during the day with fresh fruit and veg.
The walking/hiking from the house is excellent as the Via Francigena passes through here.
I will return!”
“Comfortable apartment, very clean, with snacks for breakfast. It is close to Otranto (by car). Located at Palmariggio, but not in the town, separated from town by one olive field. Very quiet and nice place to rest. We have the corner apartment and enjoyed the spacious terrace.”
