Away from any town or city but only a small drive to be in one of the many old fortified hill towns in the area or even the larger city of Siena.
Our host was lovely and provided some extras that made us feel welcome including information on towns within easy visiting distance and what they were known for.
Staying in places booked online from a country half a world away is always a bit worrying as to what you will find on arrival.
