There was nothing to improve. Well maybe add a cheese grater? But my sous chef was ok. with chopping Parmesan. Happy in Iceland!!

Tangs is in a beautiful town. Isafjordur fit all our needs. We loved X country skiing wild valleys nearby. Tangs is perfect for exploring far and wide. Or just hanging out recouping. The owners are very kind and fun!!

Could not have been a more pleasant stay. The host really goes above and beyond to make your stay one to remember. The apartment is HUGE and has everything you need and the town is quaint. The host gave us a tour of the immediate area, shared local history, and even let us try shark. Cannot recommend enough. We hope to be back again!

We had a problem with locking the door with a key. Found out at checkout that European locks work differently than North American. No big deal, as iceland is a super safe country.

We loved the renovation of how they tied in the history of the building. The apt is in the heart of the downtown area with many amenities surrounding it. Super happy with our stay.

Consistently thought through design of the apartment with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The living area is so inviting that we chose the have dinner there instead of eating out. All in all the owners aim high and reach it. (Nice collection of music on vinyl)

The location is great and the apartment is very nice and has fun decoration inside. Had bikes to use for free so we could bike around town. Perfect stay when visiting Ísafjörður.

We did not have breakfast at the location, but the house had many amenities, including a much appreciated washer/dryer, and the available "mini bar". We loved playing the LPs on the record player, and the location was great, with a nice garden next to the house. We loved our stay in Isafjordur!

This extraordinary apartment is a hit! Central location, parking lot at the house, everything clean, imaginative and lovingly designed in a historic building, cosy! The kitchen is well equipped, also with everyday necessities ... exceptional: A special drawer with all conceivable spices! You will find various wines and soft drinks (white wine and rosé well chilled!) - the wines at pleasant prices and the soft drinks for free! It was a special pleasure to meet Gisli, the owner: such a warm and lovable man! He personally guided us through the house, the original domicile of his ancestors, and had a lot of interesting things to tell...everything here is exceptional! Note: There is a good bakery and cafe nearby. There is nothing negative to say! This was maybe the best accomodation on our two weeks trip to Iceland.

The house is amazing with everything you need from the kitchen to the bathroom and a very convenient location next to the gas station, restaurants and attractions. The dining and living room is very comfortable with fit chairs and sofas and a tv with a big screen.

The host was very friendly and welcoming. We appreciated learning about the history of the building and chatting with him about our trip. We wish we could have stayed longer! The washer and dryer were very nice to have, as we needed to do laundry by this point in our trip.

Tangs Apartment provided one of the best accommodation experiences of our travelling lives. I'm not going to describe all the special things about the stay other than to say the hosts were the stars. Go and experience it for yourselves. The accommodation is very well located with parking at the door. The decor is a delight and the quality of the kitchen is exceptional. It had the biggest collection of herbs and spice I have seen outside a store. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom worked very well.

It feels silly to critique such a wonderful stay, but if I absolutely *had* to give a suggestion, it might be to reorient the beds so that you aren't sleeping with your head by the window. As someone who isn't used to 19.5 hours of daylight, I found it a little difficult to fall and stay asleep with my head by the window and not the *best* blackout drapes in the world. That said, a minor feng shui issue should not deter you from staying here. It is so excellent! Honestly, we should have just packed sleeping masks. Pack sleeping masks if you're traveling to Iceland in the summer!

We had such a nice time at Tang's! The weather in Ísafjörður was not ideal while we were there (freezing rain, very high winds) so we didn't get to do the hiking and biking we had hoped to do, but we still had a wonderful time by a margin of this cozy apartment, and the owner, Gísli, who is incredibly nice and welcoming. He came by and introduced himself, and told us all about the house and gave us a fascinating history lesson. We spent most of our time enjoying his record collection, playing cards, watching movies, and cooking in the very well-equipped kitchen. Gísli insisted that we try and get a table at Tjöruhúsið for a meal - it did not disappoint and is an absolute must!! Hands down the best fish we have ever eaten.

The owner went above and beyond. Extras like coffee (not instant), beer, wine stocked (with a fee of course) and soda. Very nice touch. Park right outside. Also explained history and pointed out places to see on the next part of our journey. Highly recommend if you are in this part of Iceland.
