Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Good location very near the main shopping street but not right in the centre so the location was quiet. Staff were very friendly and helpful, breakfast was good with lots of options and high quality.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was nicely done albeit showing some signs of age. The breakfast was exceptional. The staff were an absolute delight to deal with and so helpful. The location was great being so close to Bus Stop 8 for touristy things and drop off from the airport transfer shuttle. One minute walk to the water and a number of delicious restaurants as well.

The room was a little on the spartan side, but serviceable. The breakfast was outstanding, and is a great value-added for our stay. We had a nice small balcony that overlooked the church, and the hotel is located close to a main shopping street.

United Kingdom- the room felt very stuffy (poor ventilation) - we noticed some dust at the shower near the top light panel that needed a little scrub.
Great location, fantastic staff on front of desk who are available 24/7. We have been staying at Skuggi for three years now and we are keen to return back in the future. This was our first summer stay at Skuggi and they provided us with a fan that was used at night

This hotel is in a really good location in the centre of the city, and we were able to walk to most of the central locations easily. The hotel itself is comfortable and clean and we were quite happy that we chose to stay there. Reasonable room, adequate breakfast, polite and helpful staff.
