Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe shower was a little tricky just because it was on the small size and the fact my partner is tall. We had room 103. Also, the bed was up above the floor level so it was also a little tricky getting in and out of the bed up and down the steps to the bed at night. But this is also part of the uniqueness of the property as it is an old and historic building.
Absolutely LOVED the location and the uniqueness of our room. The host was so friendly and accommodating!

United StatesThere is nothing that comes to mind.
Great experience from start to finish. The directions for thw outdoor keypad were easy to follow and worked perfectly. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast and coffee were amazing. We were able to check in early as our room was ready. Very close to the city center but very quiet. We stayed on a Thursday night. We had several hours in Reykjavik between checkbout and shuttling to the airport and we were allowed to store our bags in a common area while we walked around the city which was very convenient and helpful and allowed us to fully enjoy the last few hours we had in beautiful Iceland. I cannot recommend this property highly enough.

United StatesAs the name states, this is an absolute treasure. Housed in an old bakery this charming B&B is located close enough to the hustle and bustle of downtown Reykjavik but not so close that you’re bothered by the noise of Friday night carousing on the streets. Our room was comfortable, the instructions for checking in were very clear. The breakfast in the morning was one of the best on our trip and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely recommend this to any friends visiting Iceland!

United KingdomNo rooms available for our return dates.. it's very popular. We stayed elsewhere on the return leg and it wasn't as good. Treasure however was faultless. We'll be bac again!!
"You're back!" And that's how our conversation started again. Always lovely when you walk in and the host instantly recognises you, and then we have a bit of a catchup. Steinunn is our number 1 host and I always try and stay here each time I go to Reykjavic. Really lovely rooms, great property with an absolute stack of character that's now become so popular that's it become difficult to get a booking.. so if you do, you're lucky. We've met lots of people here over the wonderful breakfasts - and our #1 favour part is that Steinunn pulls out a map and directs us to somewhere we haven't been before.. but really want to go to. This time we drove clockwise around the entire country and she advised on a restaurant at the western peninsula that absolutely rocked, Thankyou Steinunn as ever!

CroatiaCharming hotel in an unbeatable location, an absulute gem, very cosy and beautifully renovated respecting the original bones of the house - it is one of the oldest in town and very interesting historically. I felt right at home there and Steinunn is a very friendly host, loved chatting to her and the rest of the staff at breakfast, which was btw excellent and way beyond my expectations too. I will definitely be back on my next stay :)

United StatesWe stayed three nights two times. There are various rooms available. Our first stay we had a spacious room with a washing machine and sitting area. Our second stay was a small room with a cramped bathroom. if you are 6'+ ask not to stay in room 301. That said everything else far outshines that room.
Our host was over the top helpful. She helped us navigate Reykjavik and adventure options any time we asked. We really liked the breakfasts and staff. The location was perfect for us.

United KingdomIt would have been helpful to have some information regarding preparing tea or coffee for myself, ie which cups, etc to use. There wasn't someone at the venue much of the time to answer such questions. Everything else was completely to my liking.
The breakfasts were superb with interesting Icelandic fare. The location of the B&B was very convenient, near the harbour and easy walk into downton and good restaurants. My room was comfortable and good for one, though it might be difficult if two were in the bed due to its positioning against the wall. As I was alone, this was not an issue. I would definitely stay here again on a future visit to Reykjavik.

United StatesThe room. Very small. Angled ceiling made it challenging to not hit your head. Shower water had a sulphur smell. No real room to easily access our luggage. Okay for one night stay.
Outstanding owner. Very accommodating. Delicious breakfast. Fantastic location. Use of the common area during bad weather while waiting for transport to the airport. Walkable to all parts of downtown Reykjavik.

BermudaThe noise of people walking around from above our room 103 was a bit disturbing at first, but it is part and parcel of living in an old house and it didn't stop us having a great night's sleep. In many ways it added to the experience.
Great location in old part of town. Lovely old house with lots of quirky but nice style. Comfy beds. Communal breakfast was delicious and fun. Lots of homemade Icelandic goodies to try. Enjoyed meeting Steinum who was friendly, kind and full of information about Reykyavik.
