Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesWe had just flown in from Utah, a 10 hour flight. We arrived at noon and hoped we could maybe get an early check-in( before 3 pm local time) When we arrived we were told they were working on our rom. We were not checked in until # pm. I understand there are a great many tourist and large groups coming in. We should have been told that our room would not be ready prior to 3 pm so we could have walked around. We were just so tired.
I liked that there was a bar/ restaurant attached to the hotel. Also there are several other really good places to et near by.

United KingdomGreat bar and restaurant, but menu was a little restricted for our palette. We did try foods we've never tried before, and we're still here :)
Perfect location beside the Reykjavik Marina and easy walk along the coast, and into the town centre. Nice compact room, comfortable and clean with ensuite facilities. Complimentary tea/coffee options from reception and a comfortable quiet area to get away from the buzz. Superb breakfast options...

United KingdomWe didn't use the restaurant, so cannot really comment fairly - however it looked a little sparse.
The location could not be better for any seabound excursions. Easy walking distance to the harbour for whale watching, also good for the city centre. Staff were friendly and helpful in arranging transport back to the airport.

IndiaConveniently located..with easy access to the old harbour restaurants (which were all fantastic) and bus stop 15 for airport coach dropoffs n tour pick ups. An easy 10 min walk away from the high street n the city sightseeing are all easily walkable. The expresso coffee machine was a great room addition with fresh aroma of great coffee. we were given a harbour view room with a little balcony n it was nice to have the lovely view from the room. Must try is a nice cafe opposite called Deig n a fining dining option the Steakhouse.

RomaniaThere is no delimitation for the shower, so the water is stopped only by the towel to go all over the bathroom.

SwitzerlandThe hotel is great but an eye for details would be great. Under my bed it was dirty (not very badly) and this is not a good feeling… as well the staff at reception is a bit too casual and relaxed. They need to be more professional and the same for the cleaning people who were rather cold and rude. I would still recommend the hotel to anyone!
The property is located in a quiet area in the center. Easy to access anything you want to visit in the city or take organized tours to the Island (next to bus stop). The breakfast was very good and with a lot of choices for all tests and of good quality. The room was nice and view ver the harbor pleasant. The staff at breakfast was very friendly and professional.

This is a great hotel right by the marina close to everything. I strongly recommend a stay here. The family rooms had bunk beds which was interesting and fun for the kids. The pictures of the room are slightly deceptive in showing them bigger than they are but they are comfortable for 2 adults and 2 kids. They were advertised as for 4 adults and 2 kids. But that’s a bit too many people although there are 4 bunk beds snd 2 sleeper sofa bed. You can literally not put a step anywhere if you have 6 people in this room. Hotel is very charming and full of character. Highly recommend a stay here because it’s close to everything and the staff are very friendly. We will come back here.

United States1 day before my stay I was told they were moving me to a sister hotel at the airport. Not close at all. They were going to “ give me a suite and comp breakfast “. I refused. They then offered “ spa and original hotel. I asked them to comp breakfast and they did, as this did cause stress do last minute change of plans.
This is a great location for everything you want to do in Reykjavik. Can walk to everything. Also has a free gravel parking lot to the left of the hotel which is handy if you have a rental car.

United StatesBreakfast was nice, but the price was crazy expensive.
Gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and tried to help us figure out the cruise ship shuttle. The room was small, but nice. I liked the little balcony overlooking the harbor. The location was fantastic. We walked to the Harpa and other sites and the tour bus stop 15 less than 5 minutes walk away.
