The place was beautiful and very clean! The neighboring horses were cute, and the countryside setting too. We stayed just for one night on our way to other places, but it was a really relaxing stay. The kitchen was modern.

Check in was very easy. It was a very cosy room with shared toilets. Toilet and rooms were very clean. Also saw horses while cooking in the kitchen. It was a great experience staying here.

We could not use the showers both of them were scalding hot. There was no cold water going into the mixer taps.

Narrow stairs to get up to the bedrooms. Something to be mindful of if not able bodied.

The location is best taking, sit out on a deck and watch the sun set over snow capped mountains. Watch the horses from the farm (190) be taken down to their yards for the evening and brought back up in the morning. Amazing kitchen with everything you will need for a home cooked meal.

Charming place. An old house that had been renovated into a guest house located on a farm. Very cozy and comfortable, with amazing views out the front door. Was able to do a horseback riding session as well, covering some beautiful scenery.

Nothing major. The shared bathrooms are rather small and unfortunately the other guests didn't leave them very clean (which is not of course the property's fault).

The room is lovely, spacious and clean. The kitchen has everything you need and the staff is very nice and welcoming. Very good value for the price. The location is also very good!

The bathrooms were a bit small. Wasn’t a problem for us, but might be a consideration for some. All rooms are upstairs (not a problem for us).

What a beautiful property! It was very clean and recently updated. Full kitchen on site with a horse farm nearby. We were treated to the nightly horse moving from the farm to the pasture, and it was quite a sight. Would absolutely stay here again. One of my favorite stays in Iceland.

It is beautiful and the most comfortable beds we slept in our 10 day trip to Iceland 💕 The kitchen has everything you need and lots of space in refrigerator for people traveling with food and need storage overnight. It an also next to the Iceland horse riding farm so you can book a ride on site.

The guesthous was a perfect country getaway. The house and rooms were charming and romantic. Beautiful. A wonderful place to stay if you want a calm stay with a countryside charm and have horses run by your window in the morning. We loved it here and wished we could stay longer.

Beautiful location! Especially suitable during the summer solstice to see the fantastic colors of the sky (weather permitting). The house is an old, typical home, giving you a sense of Iceland's history when you stay there. It is very well maintained and cared for, and the common areas are lovely, clean, and reflect the owners' loving care. The key to the main entrance is shared, meaning it should be left on the chain for all guests to use. This is clearly specified in the instructions, and the owners are truly caring. Unfortunately, there can be less considerate guests who take the shared key off the chain and keep it, preventing other guests from entering. This is absolutely not the owners' responsibility, as they evidently trust in people's honesty... and they lovingly take care of any issues caused by guests. In our case, we were left outside for a while because a French-speaking person had decided to take the shared key off the chain and keep it arbitrarily... Apart from this, I recommend it to everyone who loves the silent and fantastic atmospheres of the NORTH!

We were there at the beginning of June 2024 during an unprecedented winter storm. Safe Travels was recommending people to stay put and not drive. Some of the roads we had to travel to get to this remote area indicated that they had snow, ice, and sludge....We wanted to stay put in our previous accommodation due to the risk factor. That owner was willing to work with us... However, the owner of this rental would not work with us in the midst of this unprecedented winter storm. It took us completely by surprise because all the Icelandic hosts we had encountered up to this point were very compassionate and put their customers' safety first.

Charming 100 year home completely remodeled and very comfortable.
