Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

It is owned by a wonderful Bavarian family and had all the usual charms of an Alpine Family inn, with the added charm of traditional Icelandic touches. Breakfast was lovely and it felt so peaceful in the valley where it is located. I hope to come back with my parents in the future!

SloveniaThis lovely guesthouse is a gem. The rooms are clean, warm and cosy. But the best part of the stay is the lovely host Elisabeth. She offered to prepare us dinner, because the stay is away from any other restaurants. She allowed us access to the washer and drier, so we could clean and dry our bathing suits and towels. All the little handmade details, the selected decorations and dishes give this place a special soul. The breakfast was delicious also, with everything you could want. Would really recommend this stay.

We loved everything, the reception with three dogs, the farm environment with animals, the clean and comfortable rooms. Fabulous breakfast! Unfortunately we didn't have a homemade dinner but the wonderful Astrid made a delicious homemade cake for my son's birthday - thank you very much, Astrid! - She also gave us information about the island. If you come to Akureyri, we would highly recommend Guesthouse Baegisa.

The hosts were absolutely fabulous. They greeted us, showed us our room, and were super accommodating with breakfast. We had an early morning, and they were super kind, giving us homemade baked goods for our travels. The rooms were super clean, and you get to enjoy their farm ambiance, the views, and peaceful serenity. The shared space is comfortable. This was our favorite place we stayed in Iceland and wish we had stayed longer than one night.

Lovely place with a warm welcome from our host (not so usual in Iceland), surrounded by mountains, waterfalls, horses and sheep. 15 minutes away from Akureyri. Excellent breakfast (homemade jams) and dinner (with the lamb coming from the farm) prepared by Elisabeth, cookies and coffee/ tea available at any time. Basic room but with everything needed, very clean and comfortable.

United StatesThe only issue that I could possibly see is that there was no shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom just a bar of soap on the sick. I usually travel with my own shampoo, so it was not a problem for us.
It was a great stay from the moment we arrived. The owner's son was outside when we arrived. He greeted us and walked us in and introduced us to his mom, who was very welcoming and accommodating. The room was spacious and comfortable with an amazing view. Breakfast was prepared for us each morning and it was nice, really good quality with a lot of variety. The location was perfect, about 15 minutes from downtown Akureyri so it is convenient if you have a car. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone visiting the Akureyri area, and I would stay here again without hesitation.

Beautiful guesthouse on a farm close to the ring road, very clean, cozy rooms with a charming, personal decor. Elisabeth was an extraordinary, very welcoming hostess, and her dishes were wonderful.
