We had an important problem in the apartment that makes me give 7 out of 10 instead of 9 out of 10. Important to say that the owner was easy to reach and made me a refund for the problem and I’m sure they will solve that problem, so, in summary good place to stay.

We had to set up our bed clothes on the pull out couch. We then had to strip off the bed clothes after our night. For the price we paid, we shouldn't have to clean the place.

The unit was clean. Good size unit. Nice to be able to self checkin. Beautiful setting. Horses behind cabin. Enjoyed our night stay.

A little problem when we arrived at the given unit. We were supposed to have unit number 11 ( with the passkey code). So it surprissed us when we saw that it was occupied. Fortunately we could contact the host (at 11.30PM), and change to unit 12. I just hope they have had inform us earlier.

Good surrounding, the view is amazing. Love the cabin, it is quite spacious and have a cozy feeling with all the wooden wall.

Didn’t realise we had to do a full cleaning upon leaving when we booked it - was rushing to leave so it was just something to take note. Quite unfurnished as well, no hair dryer etc.

Beautiful location with the mountains in the backdrop. Loved the full window walls!

Charging almost 10k ISK for cleaning is rather steep if you are already paying around 30k ISK a night. Can only hope my cleaning was up to standard ;)

We had te spread our beds ourselfs, and we had to clean everything. This was unexpected. The price was good enough for clean service. But clean service costes much extra.

Good wifi, small but cozy, I would not recommend for more than 4 adults, beds were good, nice patio, super quiet, easy to find with instructions, a little away from everything - so definitely need a car

Cleaning rules are not really okay 😒 it was first time when We had to clean house After few hours of being there (we came in the evening and had to leave early in the Morning). If you don't clean up, you have to pay a not inconsiderable amount.

Super easy check in/out, great contact with the owner in case of questions, amazing and safe location. We stayed there for two nights and really enjoyed our stay close to the nature. The town of Hofn and the Vestrahorn mountain + Stokksnes beach are quite close so it was a very good spot to move around from.

Since each traveller is asked to clean the property, you can be unlucky to find the place not as clean as you would like to. The toilet wasn’t cleaned properly, the rest was fine.

Great remote location to watch the northern lights! Everything needed was there.

No effort at all decorating the place. No pictures on the walls, no lamps by the beds. Zero effort has been made to make the house welcoming.

the instructions for cleaning it were quite tedious and unlike any unit I’d been to prior. usually it’s polite to leave the place tidy, but this place asked us to clean and dry sinks, vacuum the whole unit, etc. or we would pay a $60 cleaning fee. this means that no one is cleaning the units between parties except the last party, which is a little worrying during COVID.

the view was beautiful and it had everything we needed.

Excessive charges if we didn't clean up after ourselves. Scary messages asking us to ensure we did a proper clean, not just tidying up. Dining/ kitchen/ living/ sofa bed all in the same space so felt cramped for 4 travellers.

Views were excellent, lots of daylight due to glass on three sides in the living room. plenty of parking. quiet and peaceful.
