The host (Inge) has great empathetic qualities. She is definitely the right person in the right location. (Cyber hugs Inge) She is also multi-lingual! The location of the guesthouse can't be better for visiting the area around Höfn, Vestrahorn... The big, private bathroom is located a few meters from the bedroom and always nicely warm (inviting you to go shower).

Inga’s guesthouse is so beautifully maintained and felt like a home away from home. Inga was so hospitable and warm, and gave us tips about how to navigate the bad weather that was to impact our drive the next day. Thanks to her, we took a much safer route than originally intended. We enjoyed our conversations with Inga, learning about Icelandic culture and the country.

Very well organised accommodation, where every little detail was taken care of. We felt at home the moment we arrived, soaking wet from the rain. Inga very kindly helped us with the drying of our shoes and laundry, too. The room was cosy, with clean sheets and blackout curtains, which was especially useful in summer. Each room had a clean, private heated toilet down the hallway. Breakfast was filling and had everything - bread, juice, yogurt, jam, ham, cheese, traditional cake and tea/coffee. Lastly, Inga was very kind to show us around her farm, sharing about her horses and sheep. We are so glad to have chosen Dynjandi for our travels around Hofn!

The host was absolutely incredible - she was welcoming, made a delicious breakfast and gave us great tips for travelling. The location is really great - away from The city yet just off of ring road. Great for spotting the northern lights!

The host was extremely friendly. She gave us a warning about the incomming storm and possible road closures. She even suggested that we could cancel our stay if we couldn't arrive safely because of the weather. She was very thoughtful and considerate. The room was clean, cosy and warm. The facilities had everything that we needed. The breakfast was carefully prepared and delicious. I couldn't recommend this stay more.

Nothing to change the guesthouse was perfect. I also want to note in case there is confusion, the bathroom is down the hall from your room, but it is your own private bathroom with a complete shower, toilet, and sink that you have a key for. There are two rooms open to stay in and each room gets their own bathroom.

We loved everything about the property and our stay here. Inga was the most amazing host EVER! She is so incredibly friendly and as many reviews rave about, she is so informative! This will by far be one of our favorite things about the entire trip because we got to learn so much from her and receive so many helpful tips. Her restaurant recommendation was amazing and she gave me a two page written note of suggested site seeing stops (all of which have been incredible!!). Now for the best parts. First, the breakfast was great. Chiefs kiss! Second, Inga offered us a person introduction to her amazing horses and sheep. This was the most special part of our stay (and one of the best parts of our trip for me). I’m so grateful we found this place and I would come again and again if I could afford the airfare to get here. We’ll no doubt be back one day and I truly can’t wait!

Charming guesthouse on a beautiful spot right on route 1. Near Hofn to get dinner. Place is super clean and quiet. Breakfast had everything you could want. Very good way to end the stay.

We are not accustomed to having the private bath down the hallway, so that was different for us, but the accommodations and bathrooms were spacious and very nice.

The location is incredible. The breakfast was delicious and robust. The hosts were amazing and it’s a beautiful and quiet location with mountains behind and a fjord in front. Truly spectacular!

Really enjoyed staying at this guesthouse! Inga was very friendly and helpful, she gave us a lot of good ideas of things to do around the area and on our drive to Husavik. She also gave us a tour of her horse farm, which was delightful. I learned a lot of interesting things about Icelandic horses and their history. I also enjoyed meeting her dog, Isey! The room was big and comfortable, as was the bathroom. Breakfast was included, there were several options that were brought to us and all were very good. I enjoyed my stay here and would definitely stay again!
