While the room was very, very good, the only downside was that the furniture is a bit too big for the space. If the furniture is downsized a bit it would be nearly perfect.

The owner and staff are wonderful, the location is a classic Icelandic stark beauty, and the design touches are really nice.

Literally in the middle of nothing, a beautiful location, they did a really nice and comfortable place to stay! Unfortunately, we didn’t make it in time to dinner, but the breakfast was really good! Really nice and powerful shower, comfortable beds, clean space!

That we could not stay forever.

Everything! We arrived earlier than expected, and were graciously permitted an early check-in. Gudrun made our stay comfortable and no need was unmet. Our cabin was modern, exceptionally clean and quite charming. The provided robes were fantastic! The room did get a little warm, but that was quickly resolved by opening the window. The on site restaurant offered evening dining, which was a life-saver. The food was fabulous. The views are amazing, surrounded by mountains and free range Icelandic Sheep. Gudrun made us aware of the Northern Lights forecast, so we stayed up late to see them. INCREDIBLE! There is no television and we weren’t even mad about it! If you are looking for a charming, warm, friendly and inviting place to stay, this is the place for you. You are in Iceland, enjoy the experience!!!

Beautiful and very cozy accommodation. They even provide bathrobes. The views are fantastic and the comfy armchairs invite to linger. Very quiet and peaceful. We would have liked to have stayed a bit longer to go on walks and explore the valley. Very good restaurant on site where we booked a delicious dinner and had a good breakfast. The staff was very friendly.

Dalahyttur deserves 11/10! There are clean, cozy and very well equipped huts in a beautiful location, the bed was probably the most comfortable bed we slept in our life:) We stayed for a few nights and it was a perfect place to reach multiple destinations, like west fiords or snaefellsnes. Gudrun is the nicest and heartiest host, always ready to advise and help to plan anything you'd like. On top of that, any item in the dinner menu was absolutely delicious.

Our house was very nice and modern. Everything was great! The beds were soft to sleep in, the douche was good, we got shampoo/body lotion/conditioner, a tablet and even pads for women! Also, the food was amazing! Would definitely recommend the pasta 😁

Dalahyttur is a special place and we had a wonderful visit here. The little cabins are very cute and comfortable and the views beautiful. Hospitality and food were exceptional ( highly recommend the lamb and fish)

Dalahyttur Fantastic scenic natural location. Very serene. Had a cabin. Spacious with back balcony overlooking mountain range. Beautiful views. Modern attached bathroom. Gudrun, the host sent messages for the direction and contact details. Gudrun prepared vegetarian pasta for us. Delicious. Had choices of red wine. Excellent breakfast. Provided detail map for sight seeing. Nice cozy place. Highly recommended.

The gravel road that leads to the hotel is a bit of a let down. However, gravel roads are quite common in Iceland. Even the Ring Road that circles the island has sections that are unpaved.

We arrived in stormy weather that was to last for days. So, we didn't get to enjoy the outdoors that clearly are nice. The lodges are split into two parts and we were assigned on the other side of the road that cuts through this hotel, and away from the dining room as well as reception. Due to high winds, it was impossible to walk around and we even had to drive the short distance to cross the road for breakfast.

We should have stayed longer!

Definitely one of the highlights of our trip. The property is located in a beautiful isolated location with magnificent views of the mountains and valleys. Peaceful and serene! The rooms are spotlessly clean, well furnished with soft comfortable beds and beautiful linen. The dinner was delicious and the included breakfast provided much in variety and quantity. Above all, the owner is friendly helpful and informative. She was very understanding of an awkward situation we had and went out of her way to make our stay memorable and enjoyable.

We liked everything.

We pre-ordered supper at the restaurant. It was delicious! Service was excellent, The room was very comfortable and modern, there was a beautiful view from the outdoor deck. We would definitely return to this guest house. Highly recommended!

Exceptional place in a peaceful location off the beaten path. Cozy rooms with modern amenities, including a fantastic bed and shower. The host was kind and attentive, and even went out of her way to get us some ice from her neighbor. The breakfast was our favorite of the whole trip, especially the homemade waffles! We can't wait to return next time we visit Iceland.

Guðrún prepared everything with exceptional care and her warmth simply fills up the whole place. Right from the start she provided us with many travel tips and home-cooked dinner so delicious, that we fondly remember it even after completing the whole trip.
