The room was smelling a bit bad when I arrived and there was mold in the bathroom.

I had a very pleasant stay here. Big room, comfortable bed and it was clean. Good option for a budget stay.

I would highly recommend White Shore Beach Homestay! The staff were very friendly and helped us to organise rickshaws and a boat tour during our stay. The room was clean and had a large bathroom. It was a 4 minute walk to the beach and in a lovely quiet area.

One major drawback is power back up, they are dependent only on the state power supply. During our stay the electric supply got major breakdown at about 9 PM and we have to stay almost whole night without power. They have a small diesel generator but they do not want to start it, after pressurising they started after two hours but stopped it after some tine in the night. When we wake up at 6 AM in the morning. there was complete darkness and again after telling them, they start the generator.

No breakfast is available in this homestay, market is faraway from here. Even for tea you have to bwalk for about half KM. The only option to have lunch/ Dinner/ Breakfast at this homestsy is to order for online delivery by Swiggy or Zomato. Location is near sea beach but far away from the market, no shops are available nearby.

Hot water would have been nice at night. But not too much of a problem. Otherwise, spot on.

there was mold everywhere. and there was no warm water available to shower with. not only now but never.

There are quite a few Indian options for breakfast but if you have allergies/are ill etc or just don't fancy curry for breakfast, the only other option is toast - some fruit or something else would have been a nice addition. The bathroom needs updating and was quite mouldy around the edges/seals. The towels were quite stained.

The people seemed helpful and responded to any messages promptly. The room was quite nice with modern and clean curtains (often not been the case in India). It is right by the beach which is good.

nothing to complain about. the only thing which wasn’t too good was that the towels we not getting you dry 😅 no matter how much you scrubbed. might be a good idea for them to buy new ones. but other than that: we had a good stay over there
