Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

The hotel is old but well-maintained. It's large and often busy, pool with no view. It has an old-school vibe, but the rooms are comfortable, and the staff is humble and helpful.

IndiaBarring a few senior staff, the new ones were bristly and not up to the mark. There was a general lack of empathy and warmness. I guess handling horde of business travellers numbs you to the requirements and sensibilities of family travellers. This is a general trend seen in Indian hotels , the corporate bookings, which are the mainstay of hotels near the airport, have taken away the peaceful vibe . The breakfast spread was quite acceptable, but nothing great thanks to the business travellor . The hotel was going through a major construction overhaul, which was not mentioned on the website or anywhere else. THANK YOU BOOKING.COM The huge atrium surrounded by the rooms was broken up to the basement, which created a horrible sight once you came out of the room. The spa was closed for renovation, but the gym with its ancient equipment was functional. Same for the junior suite which we booked, the room had ancient light and electronic fixtures which no international travellor will appreciate or accept.
The old-world charm of a very old hotel was there. Obviously the room was big since we opted for a junior suite. Thats about it.

FranceAs of July 2024, the property is being renovated, so large parts were under construction and wooden walls had been erected in place of regular walls, which makes the experience slightly shabby. They should at least warn guests about this / offer a discount. Then, the rooms, while spacious, are in need of serious maintenance. The tables in the room were greasy and had several usage marks to the point that it looked like they hadn’t been cleaned. The sheets were stained. The decor is dated. We pointed this out to the staff who offered to upgrade us to the suite, which was a nice gesture. Sadly the suite, while even bigger than the room, still had the same problems. In the hallways, the walls that are not wooden are stained and paint is chipping off here and there.
Staff were nice and responsive, rooms were spacious.
