On the negative side, the room needs some renovation and exterior of the hotel doesn’t look well at all. This may require some investments, so this is a long run. Short term fix applies to the room keeping/service staff. Seems to be that the staff doesn’t know what needs to be replaced and when. Every time there was different amount and type of hair cleaners. For example, on the morning of departure I found 6 bottles of hair conditioner, but no shampoo…. The room service could be quicker. It took about 45 mins to get few apples and the order was messed up. We asked for green apples and received red. All these small bits and pieces significantly impact overall positive experience.

Taj Mahal Delhi is very contradictory property. On one hand I like friendliness of the staff, everyone was nice and helpful starting from the driver and airport rep going to porters, bellboys, security, reception desk, lounge staff, etc The location of the hotel is very central and all main attractions are nearby. It is 25-30 mins away from airport, if no major traffic. We got breakfast and some afternoon meals in the lounge that was ok. Again the staff was very helpful, but variety and quality were average.

Of course hotel is expensive; but it is a top class venue. The ground floor restaurant served an outstanding Malabar fish stew, not too spicy. The food and service was outstanding and memorable.

THIS FLEXIBILITY IN MEETING UNEXPECTED EARLY DEPARTURE LEFT A STRONG SENSE OF APPRECIATION. I WILL BE HAPPY TO RETURN. WHEN MY WORK AT THE HOTEL FONISHED EARLY UNEXPECTEDLY> THIS ALLOWED ME TO RETURN EARLY TO AUSTRALIA> The assistance given at the Concierge desk travel agency by SHRADDHA MOROLIA was absolutely magnificent. She would not give up on my airline QANTAS until my new ticket was confirmed and issued. She is outstanding!!!

Everything was definitely 5 stars , so no problems at all

Our room was huge and very quiet. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was included in our package and had lots of choices. There was a few choices of restaurants for lunch and dinner and whist they were pricey, the food was first class

I have stayed at this Hotel previously and loved it, so without hesitation chose to stay here again. Use of the Taj Club was an added bonus. Staff are very friendly and make you feel at home.

Front desk. I had made full payment upon check in and yet I received an invoice for payment. Front desk disagreed made me go to my room n bring proof of payment. Puzzled why would you not have this in your records.

The staff were amazing right from the security, valet, front of house, reception, housekeeping, in room dining and the Exec Lounge. They always went the extra mile and ensured our needs were met and that we have a wonderful and high quality experience. Swimming Pool was clean, a great temperature. High quality, high standards that made you feel that you were the only person staying at the hotel. Thank you!

The check in was disappointing, the staff did not explain to us what was included in our room rate, we arrived at 7.30pm and had dinner included in our room rate, the checkin people did not tell us this, we asked them what we could do now that it was past cocktail hour ands they said nothing, we could have gone to dinner, The cocktail hours were also below the standard I would expect, the drink list was very limited and the service was very slow

The Room was massive and very comfortable, the hotels grounds were exceptional, the staff were all very friendly and attended to anything we wanted, The breakfast was different as it was not a Buffett, you had to order from a menu, however you could order as many items from the menu as you liked

Breakfast spread wasn't as great as expected. The service overall for all meals was just too slow. Even though we reached at 4pm, the rooms weren't ready still.

Loved the decor, the staff behaviour, the rooms setup as well as available amenities - everything was great! Included dinner was great - options as well as taste wise.

The hotel however suffers a few shortcomings. No one other than guest relations and in room dinning pick up the phone. So, if you want to book a table at the Ming that’s not possible because they just don’t pick up the phone. Frustrated one day I walked into Ming, the Asian restaurant, but was curtly told that they are sold out. The restaurant Manager of Ming who was sitting there, refused to speak to us which was very strange in hospitality industry and specially in Taj group. The food at Ming was average and the breakfast at Machan was quite listless.

The hotel is at an excellent location with greenery all around. People of the hotel are excellent and very responsive. The rooms are well decorated and spacious. The bathrooms are also very adequate.

The only negative about the hotel room was the fact that there was no place to actually dry the towels. The hotel encourages sustainability (not washing towels daily) but when you have 3 people staying in a room, you also need a location in the bathroom to dry the towels!

I loved the location, the facilities, the staff and the cleanliness of the hotel. It really was excellent.

The shuttle from the airport was quite expensive, but otherwise, I have no complaints.

The hotel had everything I needed, from a gym and sauna, to a beautiful pool, and excellent restaurants. The meal I had at Varq was the best meal of my entire trip. The room was comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I also had to book a last-minute meeting at the business centre, and the hotel staff were very accommodating. The proximity to Khan Market and the India Gate is really convenient.
