A couple of staff kept asking for tips but hadn’t done anything for us Communication was difficult with some of the staff it was hard to make them understand what we wanted

We stayed in a room with a terrace which was nice Room was clean bathroom was small but practical but water was hot & water pressure was excellent Staff were very friendly especially Arrun from the restaurant area he served us breakfast every day & was very friendly & helpful

The only issue with the property was the room we had had mold in the shower with a musky smell after reporting to management. The smell was taken care of, and we moved to a different motel.

The staff was courteous and respectful, and eager to please The morning breakfast was wonderful and the coffee is absolutely delicious

The 1st room they gave us was not what we booked! It was substandard! They changed us to another room on the 5th floor, which was much better but not clean! The floor above us was the wedding/ballroom! Very loud music until after midnight for 2 nights. Also moving tables and chairs, very early in the morning!!! After agreeing with the check-in employee on a fee for our late checkout, the manager asked for double the price at checkout day!! Breakfast for me (western) had very limited choices.

It wasn’t as clean as I would like. In saying that it was very clean for Indias standards.

This is my 2nd stay here and it was much nicer than the 1st. The staff were more approachable and accommodating. There were a few of the staff that went over and above their job requirements to keep guests happy.

I didn't like that I had to pay another $95.00AUD when I arrived at the hotel at about 5am in the morning. The flight I was on arrived in Mumbai at around 12.30am Tuesday morning on 5 March 2024. A week before I took the flight to Mumbai I called the Oriental Residency hotel and believed I was talking to the manager (he said he was the manager) informing him of my late arrival and will there be someone at the reception to give key to my room. He said it is 24hour service. I apologised that I will be late and he said that's okay, I can have the room. Upon arrival I was advised otherwise. I either had to wait until 12 noon to get into my room for a much needed sleep or pay another $95AUD. Well, I paid because I was tired from the long flight. So in effect, I paid double for one day.

I liked the friendly dining room and kitchen staff. They were always helpful and pleasant. The cleaning staff were pretty quiet and carried out their tasks in a quiet manner. Nice quiet hotel. I don't know how old the hotel is, but the room i had, served the purpose for the reason I came to Mumbai. So my comments here is only going by the type of room I booked for this trip. It was a comfortable bed to put my head down when not at the dentist. The bathroom is old and tired and you can see they do their best to keep it, as well as the rest of the room, up to a reasonable standard. You might call it wear and tear but a lot of effort is put in to make ones stay more pleasant. Breakfast was included with my booking. I had lunch in the restaurant a couple of times and the food was delicious. Depends on your taste, if you like Indian cuisine. Overall I enjoyed my 5 days here.

- Very conveniently located (8mn walk to Khar Road station) - The staff is friendly and very helpful. They must be commended. I also had my room changed as I did not want to be on the smoking floor, was very quick overall - Restaurant and bar - Wifi worked very well

I went for work and wasn't expecting much more than a safe stay. The room was basic, medium-sized, and i was thankful for the glass window that overlooked busy city life. However, I observed that they tried their best to keep the premises clean and tidy. Also the breakfast was a good spread. The restaurant/room service was expensive, busy, the food was good but I am not convinced of their quality. I plan to rebook if I am in that part of the city mostly for the intelligent and hard-working front desk staff, Christina, who seemed to have everything under control (supervised the rooms etc) and worked very smart.

I would not recommend the classic room as we did not realize it was very small and has no space even for the bag and bathroom was very tiny, hence next time we would book a premium or a bigger room for space and comfort.

We liked the location of the property and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. From the reception to the breakfast hotel staff and the housekeeping, they were all very helpful and forthcoming. We enjoyed our stay and it was very comfortable.

There was no kettle , no tea coffee facilities in room which is the only downside of my stay .
