Not everything worked perfectly - the bath/shower tap handle was loose & fell off a couple of times, and toilet flush needed resetting to stop continually filling. It's not perfect, but we liked the atmosphere and character of the place.

It's a really interesting old house with a lot of character. The rooms were pretty dark but spacious and cool. Comfortable beds and a bathtub in our room which was a nice change from showers (has shower fitting over bath). Drinking water available from glass bottle & big dispenser instead of endless small plastic bottles. Very near the old Thanjavur Palace, within the old part of the city, fairly convenient for tea, restaurants & shopping.

Excellent location for exploring the palace and temple which is just across the road. The Room was very clean and spacious. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Water refill was provided which was great- no need to keep buying plastic.

Very impersonal...barely saw any staff ..was there only one night but still ...... Very dark rooms...no views .....very noisy from street below Minimum items provided like toilet paper and soap.... Bathroom water system...complicated a d could not get any warm/hot water at all

Room smells like fungus, sheets and pillows too. Can't really open the windows wide to change the air. Location is close to the palace but that's it. Not much around, you'll have to walk or take a tuk tuk for the rest. The roof top restaurant was not open.

Room was big enough, with a little space like a mini sitting room and a big bathroom with a bath! Hot water 24h. Wifi was correct.

Rooms on the roadside are extremely noisy because of the very intense traffic on the main street, so it’s hard to rest while staying in one of those rooms

The old, colonial building is nice, room and bathroom are charming, but things seem to be falling a bit apart, some renovation would be strongly needed

Not what you would expect for the money it costs. The room was very dark, with no natural light. Windows were purposely blocked. The room was very dirty. There was dust everywhere, black dirt marks on the floor and the bedsheets and towels had stains all over.

The location is an excellent compromise between being close to monuments but away from the traffic noise. Decoration is quirky.

Staff not available, not even to help in picking the language. The manager/ caretaker Mr. Senthil Kumar needs training to handle customers. Very rude and keen on advance payment of the room and disturbs customer at late hours. Low lightning in the rooms and water leakage near the tubs and taps. Air Conditioning needs to be serviced.

The ambience was very aesthetic and clean rooms. Beautiful place to stay with the family if they adapt few minor corrections.

Great old house with an interesting history! nicely and with help of an Architect- artist renovated. Good Atmosphere. Situated almost next to the old Palace! Rooftop reataurant good- though We were the only guests.

- the AC was noisy - the bathroom had a bath which was great but there was no place to put the shower head so it had to be held in hand while taking a shower.

Unfortunately the staff were quite unprofessional. At the check-in desk the person seemed slow and confused, calling his manager about our reservation a few times. We also went for the optional breakfast, which was small, overpriced and not very good. Even though we were the only customers, they weren't interested in giving us any extra food, and were quite rude about the request.

This hotel is tastefully decorated, with very clean large rooms. The location is very convenient and the hotel has a few common areas to relax in (eg. roof terrace)

Room is quiet, big and wellbfurnished. It is heritage style opened just before Covid.... It needs maintenance.... But a functional and simple hotel which leaves a memory. Good value.
