Check out process was a hassle. I booked this hotel for my parents and I was clear from the beginning that I should be able to settle the bill the night before since they had an early train to catch. I didn't know the hotel didn't charge us the dinner for last night even though I repeatedly asked them to send me receipt for all incidentals the night before. Had to rush early in the morning to clear confusion and make payment so they could catch the train.

Apart from the pricing being a bit high, there's nothing bad about this hotel. If you can afford it, it's worth it.

The floating rate of the rooms. The bathrooms have been given too much importance and space. The basin doesnt have a liquid soap dispenser! Bathroom doesnt have any dedicated place to hang clothes. The remote switches are not visible in the dark so what to press? The switch commands could be more organised. The finish of the room is a bit to grey biege basically dull! The food is not upto the mark in parches...eg we had grilled chicken which was over done The medu wadas are not fluffy enough a bit hard in fact. The grinding is not proper. The sambar was too sweet. There was sugar in sweet corn soup!(how naive) On the whole the food was not 5 star but 3 star(and some amateur cooks). There are other e.g.s too. The design of the hotel and rooms is not like Taj. There are only two restaurants they duplicate each other in food at times. The decor of C2C especially the floor is terrible. I forgot one very important incident. I booked through you and then upgraded to a larger sea view room. When we saw the room alloted the view was occupoed by a huge tree! The sea and the beach were barely seen. I had to ask them to change the room. I got a smaller room but no refund for the upgrade! Please convey all this to the management.

Liked the location. The sea view rooms with large full wall windows. Size of the rooms. General neatness and cleanliness. Very helpful and polite staff. Easy approach to the beach through shuttle.

Sir Ratan Tata apologies for being so late to experience the oh so talked about Taj hospitality. Taj, omg how can you be sooo wonderful. I work as Head of Training and could see everything i taught throughout my career was being implemented here that too with a smile. Not one person looked less happy. You are a dream come true. Kudos to the entire team from check-in (Aishwarya) to guest services, BLD restaurant staff, the cashier during checkout, the car parking facility, to the lady taking care of the steam room. You all took so much of effort to make sure my 2 days were fab. I dont think my heart will settle for anything less than Taj from the next time!

Nothing to be honest but if I can be a bit picky then pre-arrival responses can be more helpful. No big deal though.

What can I say? Taj standards for equipment, cleanliness, response, food taste, view, style etc. Sounds familiar? What made the stay exceptional was staff. To name a few are Krishna, Aishwrya, Omkar from BLD restaurant, Pawan at concierge desk, Rishad, Shaurya at reception…. There are many more but unfortunately can’t remember names. All Taj staff in CdG Horizon from room service, house keeping, security to lobby are fantastic, trained well & make the difference to the stay. Thank you Taj & team !!

The main restaurant food could be much better. The service during breakfast buffet was excellent but the food variety and range was on lower side for a 5 Star property. There were no desserts section during breakfast and only 1-2 desserts on show. Further we had full board and we tried lunch as well during our stay. Lunch was served on Ala carte but service was exceptionally slow and food was ok. In spite of these minor points I would say it’s certainly one of best property out there with amazing staff.

Taj Horizon is amazing property with immaculately crafted interiors, spacious rooms, modern fit out and a very convenient access to beautiful beach through ongoing shuttle service between horizon and Heritage. My host Saloni was exceptionally amazing as we visited Taj to celebrate mum’s 75th bday and Saloni made sure that room is decorated for her special day. Wish we could have stayed longer but the hotel got sold out when we tried for extension. Surely our next visit is due soon.

The strategic location of the hotel and room had a marvelous experience of the sea view. Round the clock service to visit the private beach of the hotel is highly appreciated. Breakfast and dinner buffet had a very elaborate menu along with the live kitchen/starter service points. My family of four felt every moment enjoyable!! So, great job by Taj Horizon team.

The administration of the J wellness circle spa was not good. We were told there were no slots for the day. I told them that I am there for my marriage anniversary but they insisted there were no slots. The front desk/duty manager however helped me get a slot. I was quite disheartened with their negligence. It made me think that we were kept aside while there was a possibility to accommodate a slot for us. But, the actual spa services were quite good. Me and my wife really enjoyed it which eventually made us feel satisfied.

Location, ambience, food, professional staff. There were enough activities to keep us entertained as we could not go out due to heavy rain. The private beach is quite nice! The staff also helped me arrange a surprise which was nice. We also got an early check-in although it was not part of the package I booked. Thank you for that
