Check in formalities took too long , there was dust in some rooms in the bedside table , however when we pointed out the same , staff immediately spring into action to clean the same .

Loved the hospitality at Taj , they did manage to get us the rooms with better view, Breakfast was awesome .. veg and non veg sections were at distance which was appreciated they should consider having a small garden to stroll or a play area for kids

Everything was just perfect.

Room was not cleaned properly. Tissue paper was on floor. Bathroom door wasn’t working. Mini bar was not filled. But they fixed it very quickly. No hanging options for wet clothes considering it’s beach holiday.

Breakfast was excellent. Room was spacious even for a family of four. Valet parking team were so good and helpful. Entire staff was so courteous and kind.

Once passing by the lobby, we heard the manager reprimanding the staff with raised voice, that was unpleasant to see and hear.

Starting from the welcoming and resolving our issue with an outside taxi to the room, the sea view, breakfasts and C2C restaurant excellent experience with impeccable waiter Athani, bar Banyan with so caring bartender Ashish. It was way and beyond!!!

The very cold interior with centralised AC across whole hotel so could not adjust temperature in room. With very hot and humid weather when stepping out, this constant hot to cold temp is unhealthy. Didn't like the staff uniform of beige trousers suit for the ladies. A more Indian attire would suit

Check out process was a hassle. I booked this hotel for my parents and I was clear from the beginning that I should be able to settle the bill the night before since they had an early train to catch. I didn't know the hotel didn't charge us the dinner for last night even though I repeatedly asked them to send me receipt for all incidentals the night before. Had to rush early in the morning to clear confusion and make payment so they could catch the train.

The floating rate of the rooms. The bathrooms have been given too much importance and space. The basin doesnt have a liquid soap dispenser! Bathroom doesnt have any dedicated place to hang clothes. The remote switches are not visible in the dark so what to press? The switch commands could be more organised. The finish of the room is a bit to grey biege basically dull! The food is not upto the mark in parches...eg we had grilled chicken which was over done The medu wadas are not fluffy enough a bit hard in fact. The grinding is not proper. The sambar was too sweet. There was sugar in sweet corn soup!(how naive) On the whole the food was not 5 star but 3 star(and some amateur cooks). There are other e.g.s too. The design of the hotel and rooms is not like Taj. There are only two restaurants they duplicate each other in food at times. The decor of C2C especially the floor is terrible. I forgot one very important incident. I booked through you and then upgraded to a larger sea view room. When we saw the room alloted the view was occupoed by a huge tree! The sea and the beach were barely seen. I had to ask them to change the room. I got a smaller room but no refund for the upgrade! Please convey all this to the management.

Liked the location. The sea view rooms with large full wall windows. Size of the rooms. General neatness and cleanliness. Very helpful and polite staff. Easy approach to the beach through shuttle.
