Customer service and first impressions. Any hotel does its best to either offer or communicate with empathy when there is something that they cannot offer like an early check in. But there was no attempt made to show an understanding considering my profile and circumstances of international travel. No one offered to pick or secure the bags while I waited in the lobby until check in time. I have seen this with hotels that do well temporarily. What they don't realize is the future impact when they are not fully sold and depend on the tiniest choice a prospective customer has to make in comparison to other hotels with competitive edge in service.

We had an excellent stay. The place was perfect, with excellent facilities for the whole family and very efficient and friendly staff. Highlights for us were, spacious and clean rooms, washer and dryer, kitchenette, no use of plastic bottles, kids outdoor play area, kids indoor play area, outdoor swimming pool, jacuzzi and steam and sauna. Breakfast was good too.

Hand wash soap dispenser did not work properly. Breakfast buffett could be better as it was just above average. Need to strive for excellence in that area

We were seeing some roaches in the room, that needs to be attended on priority to control them. Other wise the room was comfortable.

The Housekeeping was done nicely. Kudos to Mr. Prakash from that team. He did an outstanding job all the time.

The cleanliness of the unit was poor. Misting to rid the room of cockroaches is recommended.

I indicated my choice for a room with king bed in my booking. Reiterated the request in my message to the hotel when asked, and was assured that all rooms had the king bed. This was not true as the first room I was given had 2 single beds. They took my concern and allotted me a room with king bed though. The TV couldn't be switched off in the room I was given. It kept running with a blank screen. In these times of energy saving/sustainability, this isn't desirable. The process for breakfast is somewhat archaic considering that this is a 5 star hotel. They require us to get a coupon from the reception, while the reception says that guest can just state their room number and request the charges to be added to their invoice. The restaurant required that I pay them there, when I didn't even carry my wallet, as I was expecting the bill to room being available as in any other star hotel. Staff was understanding though and eventually added it to my room expense. Wonder why they didn't do it in the first place. Not a big deal breaker or complaint for me, but keep in mind that the hotel is located nearby a famous school. So during the time of entry and exit of students, there is slow moving traffic.

Size, amenities and cleanliness of rooms. Well equipped rooms with drinking water, utensils for cooking/making coffee, refrigerator, washer-dryer unit, storage cabinets, safety locker, etc. Comfortable bed to my liking with the firm mattress. Room is well lit. Bath is adequately equipped (don't expect everything like razors, eartips, etc.). It took some time adjusting to the hard water to wash off the soap though :) Access to the beach and city centre is great. Takes about 15 mins to get to Express Avenue.

I was not so happy when I moved from the suite to a superior room and my Internet speed dropped from 300 mbit to just 5. I had to complain three times throughout the day to get the speed to at least 50 mbit. otherwise a great stay. maybe the rooms could be a little better maintained but considering I came from the best hotel in town, it was still reasonably good.

I stayed both in the suite and the big room with a terrace. both options were great and loved the kitchen in the room, superfast Internet, nice breakfast, and the rooftop swimming pool with rest areas. overall reasonable value for money.
