I only needed a room for a day in between flights, and the team were so generous about letting me check in early (especially when I arrived even earlier than I had told them), and organised an auto for me to get to the airport late in the evening. The location is great, just a few steps away from the beach and many restaurants, and the room was a very comfortable place to sleep and rest for the day.

Wilfred and Christian were very communicative and super helpful. It was great to chat with them and they also gave us some good recommendations for local places. Christian drove me to the train station in his scooter and that was very helpful. Would recommend!

very nice host. a friendly place. The host met up when arriving in Kovalam in the middle of the night. He was always caring for his guests. Good air conditioning if you like that. comfortable bed. Slept well. not noisy even though close to beach.

Lots of little things could & should be put right. Daily room cleaning would take no time (rooms get sandy, even with a shower outside). Soap & loo paper could be checked at the same time. One plastic sachet of shampoo for three days isn’t “free toiletries”! And a daily bottle of water would cost R20. A kettle; more than 3 hangers; some directions on how to find it on arrival - none of this is rocket science and it’s done elsewhere.

Rooms are basic but clean, with a comfy bed, good aircon and good wifi (better than earlier reviews suggest). The balcony is a pleasant place to sit. Wilfred & colleagues are very helpful when you’re on site. And it’s very near the beach.

The location and the staffs were the best! Although the furniture and facilities in the room were not brand new or shiny clean (still above the average of the area I guess), the owner Wilfred was so helpful during my 2-week stay! He is always available on WhatsApp, knows everything about the area. Even though I didn't have breakfast at this hotel, I saw he's cooking for his guests and it seemed to be delicious! Also, the location was super - even though it's not facing the beach (actually it's way better as you can avoid noisy/touristy part of the town but enjoy the beach by walking only for 2 minutes), there are two great vegetarian restaurants (Suprabatham and Banana Leaf, there are one of the bests in the area), a small local supermarket, and a mobile shop that you can buy a SIM card and exchange money.

Liked everything.

The place is pleasant and cozy to stay. Mr. Wilfred and Mr. Christopher are very friendly and nice. They were always available for any help. Only breakfast is available here. For other meals, there are places nearby. The beach is just 2 minutes walk! Njoy the relaxing vibe of the hotel. Much recommended!

Only fault I could find was we only had a hot shower 1 out of the 4 nights, the rest were cold.

It was a confortable stay with very nice hosts. The location was set back a couple of hundred meters from the beach, this was nice as it offered a little bit of peace and quiet because the promenade gets a little bit loud at night, although it was still close enough to enjoy the quality restaurants. The staff also ask if you’d like a morning coffee/tea prepared when you wake up, provide an auto rickshaw service and laundry if required.

Friendly & hospitable owners/staff members, who helped me with a few things during my stay, very kind and I am grateful for the help. Comfy beds, and there is a kitchen/fridge to use if needed. Great location, as it is quiet but very close to the beach.

The walls of the room were somewhat ood. The owner was smoking in the lobby.

The rooms were way too much clean and staffs were very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere all together were positive and the entrance to the hotel were very pleasing. And the most unexpected thing was there were hangers for wet dress of the sea

What a nice stay at the Sky Palace Beach Hotel in Kovalam! The best start into our trip that we could have hoped for! :) The staff is absolutely amazing, they are genunely nice and caring people. They made us feel welcome and at home. They helped us with so many things like booking train tickets. I had forgotten some clothes in my room and they mailed it to New Delhi in no time and free of charge. I highly recommend you to stay there if you're looking for a simple and family / friendly place. In addition, the hotel is super close to the beach and good restaurants so you can walk anywhere and truly relax.

As I said in my previous review, I did come back to Sky Palace for another week at the Kovalam Beach. You just cannot find the better spot for that amount of money. Guys who run the place are super nice and hospitable, a big reason why I didn't look for another place.

Walk to Parking

Wilfred was very communicative and arranged a single room at last min for a friend who accompanied us and also sent staff to pick us up from the taxi stand and luggage. Wilfred and team cooked fresh meals and provided hot water etc as needed. He also helped us late night to get medicines. Lovely stay, very helpful staff and excellent service. Overall , will return and highly recommend the place.
