Minor signs of lack of maintenance in the room

Decent Airport Hotel a short distance <1 mile from the Airport (Didn't spend too much time here, arrived late evening and left early morning for a day tour - was able to leave bag - so difficult to judge fully Best sleep I had during my trip to (mainly) Sri Lanka and Mumbai.

Decent Breakfast Spread. Accessible Location. Pretty close to the airport. This was the second or third stay at the Hotel and would visit again if given a chance.

Location and access to multiple restaurants as well as easy commute options

Location and Cleanliness and relatively new furniture and utilities. The location is near to the international airport and conveniently located across the Main Street with good choice of restaurants and business offices.

The view from the window was a downside, as it seemed as if there was a slum next door.

At meal times there was a big variety of dishes, hence being celiac I had no problems.

Shower - the hot and cold mixer of shower attached to my room was malfunctioning and the water as it ran became extremely hot or cold.

Very well located for an overnight stay before a departure from Terminal 2. Very friendly and helpful staff. Airport transfer provided by hotel at reasonable rate. Late checkout at low rate available. Good restaurant and bar.

Beds were a bit uncomfortable. The spring beds were not the best and pillows were too soft.

Not sure if this was a hotel or Booking .Com problem but I received several texts/emails 2-3 days before arriving saying that my credit card had been declined and that I needed to re-submit my card details or the room might be cancelled. The hotel said that they always put a block for the room amount against the card but don't debit it until I check out and pay the full bill. The notifications received are very alarming when you are travelling and create worry and concern that it's either a scam when asked to re-enter card details or that you may arrive with the room having been cancelled?

The breakfast was fine but the restaurant was a bit busy on the day that I was there and a bit chaotic but no real problem. The room was excellent and exceeded expectations. The staff were really good and very polite and helpful. This was an overnight stay before flying out the following lunchtime so the closeness to the airport was perfect as it was only a 10 minute taxi journey away. I did not leave the hotel so could not comment on the surrounding area.

The restaurant didn’t match the same standard as the hotel aesthetics but the staff and food was wonderful.

Loved the modern, stylish, vibe. The area felt safe. Centrally located from all the attractions we had in our list to do. Situated within walking distances of coffee shops, eateries and the beach.

The staff was good. The family suite was good size. The fridge could be filled in. The bathroom shower and tub was very good. some maintenance can help this property specially the kitchen area and bathroom looks bit old and needing some maintenance. Overall value for money if you cant find deal with 5*'s around.
